Hello all. I'm new here, and new to Sig (previously a Glock guy). I just bought my first P365X and a Holosun EPS Carry to go with it. I've literally spent hours reading this forum and others trying to figure out if I can use the provided mounting screws. I even called Holosun. Unfortunately, things are less clear now than when I began researching.
Here's a bullet-point summary of where I am in an effort to keep this post short.
Can someone point me in the right direction here, and maybe offer some assurance, if possible, that I didn't mess something up internally using the provided 12mm screws? Any maybe some information about why I shouldn't use them when they seem to screw in without any perceived issues?
Thanks in advance!

- Like a dummy, I installed the optic with the provided screws. I did not have to force the screws in. I did not feel like I hit any kind of floor or wall.
- The provided screws are 12mm. I don't have a torque wrench/driver, but I was able to easily tighten the screws using the provided mini-tool. I didn't use a screwdriver because I didn't want to torque too much.
- I have removed the sight and screwed in the screw directly into the hole, no sight, no plate, to see how far it would screw in without hitting a wall/floor. I was able to screw in right to the shoulder of the 12mm screw with the tips of my fingers. No torquing required - adding greatly to my confusion.
