I purchased my Sig P365 yesterday. For the most part my EDC is a Sig P320 X-Carry. Love that pistol. But now and then it would be nice, I thought, to have a pistol I could take in to otherwise denied areas (like the theater) where a bulkier gun is not only more uncomfortable, but easier to send a snowflake into full panic mode. FWIW I live in a state where "no gun" signs are advisory only and do not have the force of law. So if I am doing my job right and concealing my pistol properly, no one (except a potential bad guy) should know that I'm carrying.
So I went to the local range and shot the P365, and bought it on the spot. Its a bit snappier than the P320, but it gets the job done just fine. And with a 12 round magazine in there, its a bit less snappy.
I was surprised at how light the gun is even with a full 12 rounds in the extended magazine. So, here's my idea for a terrific ad for Sig.
Put a generic 1911 with its 7 round magazine on a scale showing its weight fully loaded, and put a P365 on a scale next to it showing its weight (or use scales like the scales of justice with a gun on either side).
Here's the tag line: The P365: for when you want more than ten rounds, but less than ten pounds.
Whaddaya think?
Starting to love this gun too...
