Inspecting a New P320

I wanted to get some thoughts on what to look for when inspecting a new firearm, in my case, a new P320. I've seen Flork's guide on inspecting a used pistol, and while these still apply, I feel like there are some different defects that one should look for when inspecting a new gun from the factory.

I'm planning on disassembling the gun and checking the slide for dings, scratches and defects. Then checking the barrel for any marks and a clear and shiny internal finish. Then finally checking the grip module and the FCU for the same things. I ordered the gun online and I have three days to inspect it at the FFL and send it back should there be any defects.

Should I take the FCU out and fully inspect it? What about the striker assembly? Let me know if you guys have any more input on things to look for. I'm sure the quality control is good and I could get something replaced via warranty if it came to it, but I want to do my due diligence to avoid any headaches. Thanks in advance! :D

1) It sounds like this is your first on-line fireaams purchase.
2) Pull the FCU ?
Pull the striker assembly ?
Your going a little overboard with this.

I can see being extra-viligant with a used pistol, but you say this is a new pistol.
So relax.
Do a cosmetic check, maybe take the slide off and have a look.
Bottom line is that this is a new pistol and the Mothership will stand behind it.

Basic inspection and I do a field strip to look for barrel/rifling issues.
You can also depress the striker/FP block safety and move the striker back and first in the channel to make sure it good. I do that after cleaning and reassembly every time.

No need to pull the FCU if it function checks,
