Looks like the awaited Wilson Combat X-Compact grip module is finally out. I just happened to check this morning and saw it so I ordered one.
This takes the 15 round compact magazines, same as the P320 compact and the X-Compact.
It appears to the same as the WCP Carry II grip module except the bottom has been redesigned to accept the 15 round magazines as opposed to 17 round mags.
It is also still compatible with the tungsten weights. I am not sure if you will need the newer magazine base plates or not. I will let you know, as I currently have both.

Also for those interested Wilson Combat now also offers and extended magazine release, which is tool steel as opposed to polymer.

Exactly. This will most likely get topped with my sub-compact slide and be my new EDC. Though I can't wait to get one of my compact slides on top. It should have that classic Sig look.

I had just returned my Carry grip to Wilson.

I Saw these new Grips and called Wilson this afternoon.
I told CS that instead of a refund could they just send me a X-Compact Grip? They said sure it will go out on Monday.

But then as I looked at the Grips I saw the "Compact" grip.

I called Wilson back and I was told that the ONLY difference between the Compact and X-Compact is the length for the slide.
The Grips themselves are identical.
SO..
Because I have a Compact RX slide 3.9" I changed to a "Compact" 3.9" Grip length.

The X-Compact @ 3.6" is for anyone with a 3.6" barrel...
So just order the 15 Round Grip that fits your Slide.

Just an FYI..

Well, the last thing I was looking to do this evening was spend $150+ on a couple more Wilson Combat P320 grip modules but that's exactly what happened. You guys are such enablers and really should be ashamed of yourselves...lol. I think this will about do it for me as I'll have about every WC grip module combination available which will give me plenty of options with my P320s. My wife has her shoes and I guess now I have my WC P320 grip modules! To say I really love the WC P320 grip modules is an understatement. A little while ago someone posted about "going down the rabbit hole"...I'm pretty far down one now myself...lol.

Here's the two I purchased and a link to the newly updated WC P320 grip module/light compatibility chart:

I also have a Compact on the way as well as the X-Compact. I have several configurations I will be running. I am contemplating ordering a second Carry module with the safety cut for my M17 as well. My guns will be setup as follows.

WSG Carry with RX Compact slide
WSG Compact with Compact slide
WSG X-Compact with Sub-Compact slide
and possibly a WCG Carry with M17 slide

Well, there goes another $70. :)

The stock SIG mag release is metal, by the way, pretty much a necessity to have a metal mag release if you have all-metal mags. Actually a little wary of a tool-steel mag release, could cause wear issues on the softer magazine steel, would rather replace a $5 mag release than a bunch of $40 mags when it comes down to it, and for that matter, with all the unused OEM grip modules I have laying around, I have plenty of spare mag releases...

And yeah, an Olight PL-Mini 2 or a Streamlight TLR-7 or TLR-8 fit perfectly on the X-Compact/Carry II sized rails. Best holster compatibility is with the Olight, for some reason.

Me, I'm tickled that I now have the option of switching between 17 and 15 WC modules with the X-Compact (mostly 17). I have no desire to use a 15rd with my M18, so I won't be ordering the WC Compact. But with this one on the way, that makes six WC modules I have now. :)

Also picked up a "sunburst" Wilson Combat/BCM Gunfighter AR pistol grip this order, to bling out a new 12" SBR build in 6.5 Grendel. Think I got the last one...

Glad I saw this post, and you alerted everyone. At first, I thought you were talking about the WCII. I just happened on their website when they released it and got it. Really looking forward to a subcompact/15 rd version of this grip. When I ordered the WCII I was thinking it was a shorter railed version of the carry, but it’s actually between the subcompact and compact size and works on both. I like it much better on the subcompact slide, however. When mounted on a compact slide, I don’t really like how the guide rod extends past the dust cover. When a subcompact slide is mounted, the dust cover keeps the guide rod covered and the slide is flush with the frame. I realize now the Wilson site mentions the WCII can be used on both lengths.

I’d like to see a WCII with the 15 rd size. I must admit, based on the pictures alone, it looks like this new 15rd compact grip may be the same length as the WCII, but the site does not say it will work with both.

Pictures below are the WCII on a 3.9” pro cut slide.

Check out this compatibility pdf that abnrgr275 posted above. It breaks down everything on the Wilson grip modules.

Wilson Combat Grip Module pdf

This pdf will pretty much answer any question you have about the Wilson Grip Modules.

Looks like their engineering dept is on vacation.

Sales: "What can we do? We need to release the compact version but Larry is on vacation until August!"

Floor manager: "Quick...Paul go grab that dremel and cutting wheel. Steve give me the Carry and Carry II modules."

*5 minutes later*

Floor manager: "I present to you, the "compact" and this one is the "X-compact"

Sales: You are a genius

Stopsign32v..is correct..

The only difference between the Carry / Carry II and the Compact is just cutting off the Grip for 15 Rounds.

For the X-Compact they added a second cut for the Slide Length to 3.6"

It wasn't Rocket Science..

Differences are:

* Slide length

Picatinny Notches..But Sig does the same thing.

Grip Base:

Both the Compact & X-Compact have the exact same Grip Base:

Compact: 3.9" 4 Picatinny Notches

X-Compact: 3.6" 3 Picatinny Notches

Wilson Combat is not offering anything more between the Grips except dimensions for 15 Rounds and Flush Fit Slides.
I guess when they have a grip that works that's all they need to do.

Sig X-Series is just about the same with changes in Slide Length and Grip length..
Sig changes the Beaver Tail and some underscoring but there are not big changes between the X-Series Grips.

Just curious, does Wilson Combat ever offer promotional codes, free shipping, etc, in anyone's experience here? I'm familiar with their products, but never ordered from them before, and wanted to check before I put in my order for one of these.

I see Midwayusa carries the WC grip modules, but no idea how long it would take them to get the new sizes in stock, if at all.

This category is actually my favorite for EDC. They provide a more hand-filling grip that is short enough to more easily conceal and provide a bit more weight making range time better. I am glad I already own a P320sc and an M&P9c. I have toyed with the idea of picking up a G26 and the M&P M2.0 Sub-Compact. I have found guns in the 25oz-27oz range tend to be the best compromise, providing enough weight to shoot comfortably, yet light enough to carry daily.
I already own several guns under 20oz. and they are all a nightmare to shoot more than 20-30 rounds through.
