I ordered a Bravo 5 almost three months ago and still have no eta. I have checked almost every vendor i know, and nobody has had it in stock since before memorial day weekend. Well i did find two but they are out of the U.S. Does anyone know why? I'm hoping it is not discontinued. I was getting ready to cancel my order and go with a Primary Arms or Vortex, but i really had my heart set on this optic. Does anyone know why the huge delay? By the way i did order from a Sig vendor.

I heard there was this China pandemic going around, maybe that had something to do with it. Or maybe import of parts or maybe something to do with the crazy gun buying that’s going on. Probably the same guy that bought all the ammo purchased all the optics as well.

Have you noticed EVERYTHING gun related is in demand and back ordered. Even if you can find it the prices are inflated.

Good luck and welcome to the forum.

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback guys. I have checked with my vendor a few times and they just tell me that they don't have an eta.Probably check 25 sites a day PA, Midway, Palmetto, Gun.deals ect. And have notify me when in stock, but nothing in 3 months. With the things happening i'm getting anxious to get it mounted and zeroed. Was wondering what thread it was were they stated it might be discontinued and replaced.

Thank you for the info. I found the thread. I guess i'll try to contact Sig on monday to see if i can get an eta. A little disappointed, wanted something before the election season rolls around. May have to get my money back and go another route. At least i know what is going on now. Thanks again

No luck

I talked to the Sig rep today. He said there are 68 Bravo 5s in the warehouse in New Hamshire, but they or only for purchases at Sig stores or for replacements. He said it would be at least 3 more months or longer until a shipment to online retailers is scheduled. He said he could only look up shipments for the next three months and that there was nothing in the pipeline. He suggested i get a refund and try the Bravo 3 or Bravo 4 (which is out of my price range). I spent $330 So my immediate options for the same price would be the Bravo 3, the Vortex 1-6x24 gen 2 with the vortex mount, or the Primary Arms 5x gen 3 w/Aurora reticle, all for the same price. Do you have any thoughts on which of the three you might go with. Or maybe you have a different suggestion on something else around the $350 price range?

I have a friend with a couple of the PA prism 5x scopes. He really likes them.

I pre ordered the PA SLx 5x36 gen3 w/ Aurora reticle yesterday. Came in stock today, so should be here within the week. Was thinking of getting a reflex sight to mount to the top for closer range work. Wanted to stay under$200. Any suggestions?

Might want to consider an angled sight instead of a mega tall one.

That said, the Aimpoint micro style Nikon Super Dot is made in the Philippines instead of China and is on mage cheap sales right now. The only down side is it doesn't use standard Aimpoint compatible mounts.

Otherwise the Romeo 4 series from Sig seem to be assembled in the USA, and some versions can be found around your price range.

Or you could go smaller and save even more weight.

If you don't mind used, that opens up more options.
