I really don't have preferences, especially with the 10mm, the brands out there are pretty scarce. the only "main" brand I have been able to get inexpensively has been Sellier & Bellot. most of my FMJ stuff has been LAX Reman stuff. I'm good on 9mm and .45 JHP, have 100 rounds for each of Hydra-Shoks

9 mm Blazer & Mag-Tech on the range. Around 2,000+ rounds without a single issue or problem. Always at a good price at the Range / Gun store also. Sig hollow points for EDC. Have ran a couple hundred of these thru also to make certain of reliability with zero issues.

I like Fiocchi and S&B. I'll use WWB when I need to grab a box as I am heading to the range. I won't buy/use Sig Sauger range ammo anymore. I've had too many boxes with primers that didn't work for me to waste my money on it.
For defensive ammo, I have Speer and Liberty Ammo.

I've had good results with their 5.56, but I avoid their handgun ammo.

10mm Sig Vcrowns for two-legged or four-legged critters defense?

S&B, Norma, Fiocchi, and Blazer (in a pinch) are my favorites for the range. I've also had good luch with WInchester Active Duty 9mm but generally reserve it for my PCC. Personally, I avoid Remington UMC in any of my guns because of how dirty it is. I've had only one or two definite ammo failures out of thousands of rounds fired across all brands. However, based on critiques I've seen on this forum I have never tried the Winchester White Box ammo.

I use training ammo that has the same or similar ballistics as my carry ammo.

For carry I like Federal HST (9mm & 40) and Speer Gold Dot (40).

For training I use Sellier & Bellot (9mm), MaxxTech (9mm), and Federal American Eagle (40).

I have shot just about everything. Some 380 ammo that wouldn’t work in my Smith&wesson bodyguard was Priority One and freedom munitions although I usually use freedom for the range with my other handguns and have had good experiences. I haven’t shot any steel cased ammunition.

I found Fiocci to be the dirtiest ammo... But many like it.

Underwood is one of the absolute best ammo IMO, better than mass commercial brands as it is close to spec (1500ft) .357Sig and better spec for .380 otherwise Speer is very reliable a consistent.

Have a few boxes of Sig ammo left, amazed how they have pretty much abandoned their own design (.357Sig) but hey... Used to get reloads for that but lately have just kept all the Brass (once fired) in case some day I have to reload it to shoot, but for now will keep buying the round as needed. Range and Carry is the same, want predictability if ever needed!

Good Luck

In 9mm i must say i never saw factory ammo that is really bad so at the range i use whatever is a good deal at the time of purchase .

Last 1000 rounds were s&b 124gr fmj , now i got ( here in germany ! ) winchester 124gr fmj at a good price !

The winchester seems to be hotter than s&b . More recoil , more muzzle flash . I like it since i feel more badass :geek:

For hunting ( .223 , 3006 ) i use norma , the same is true for jhp in 9mm .
