Evening gents, I have this p229 optic cut slide and I'm trying to figure out wat red dot i can run. I found this pic of the DPP dimensions and I measured my slide with calipers. Looks like DPP might fit with a slight gap in front? Anyone have any luck running an optic on these that isnt a romeo1? Not a fan of sig optics. And I hear the DPP is fragile... what other options are there for this footprint?

First, determine for sure what optic footprint your slide has, then you'll know what your options are... Is yours for the Romeo 1, or Romeo 1pro?

Ok so thanks to all your guys' advice, i scooped up a vortex defender since my slide has the DPP holes, no RMR holes, and a curved front. One of my slight issues is the lack of recoil lugs has me nervous about long term wear on the screws. And there's a 0.38mm gap between the slide and optic. I was able to create and 3d print a piece to fill in that gap, and now the optic fits very tight. Will have to shoot it a bunch to see how it goes.
