The sticker fell off of my MK25! Guess I got to keep it

So, following the prevailing advice I have been running the ladies fairly wet. Oh, that didn't sound too good. I have probably been putting an abundance of lubrication products on my rails....Ok, one more try: My gun is fairly oily and ... Darn it!

Long story short, the lubricants got to the bar code sticker on the MK 25. It just fell off when wiping her down. Does this mean that I have to keep her forever since the re-sale is now shot? Of course I also devalued it the minute I cut the Sig tape off of the grip.

Aren't we meant to be shooting these beauties?

There are probably way too many of them to ever have collector value. I intend to shoot the **** out of mine. :)

It would be quicker to count the ones with stickers, than the ones without. They all fall off eventually.
I don't own one, but wondered if the sticker could be protected with fingernail polish.

If the anchor came off a Marine might want to buy it. :D

Now that you have taken the sticker off if you still feel naughty go and rip the tag off of your mattress!

I've seen some of those special edition commemorative models that Sig and other manufacturers offer to military units, generally with their unit's patch and other info on it, where the UID was etched in and one case where it looked like it was actually stamped into the metal of the frame prior to coating with the finish color. That wouldn't fall off. :)

Since you removed a VITAL part of the weapons identification system you are now in utter and complete violation of Federal Law. DO NOT fire or handle that weapon at any time. Your only solution is to send the weapon to me for proper disposition.

There's a sticker with a UID code on the frame of the military look-alike models. The M11-A1 and MK25 have them. I think the new Colt M45 CQB pistol has one, too.

I'm not going to deliberately pull mine off of my M11-A1, but when it does fall off, I won't lose any sleep over it.

So take it off soon as you get your firearm home and never think about it again?

I just the sticker off my new Mk25 as I cleaned it this evening after shooting if for the first time today. I think it looks better without it.
