We all have all different experiences with different guns. I have four different 320s ... all have run perfectly without an issue except for a single failure to extract ONE steel case round in my 320 Compact ...the rest of the 1000 round case of American Steel ran without issue. As did other 4000+ rounds of brass ammo that's run through it.

I can't recall a single failure in my X5, my sub-compact or my 320 FS .45 ... not one and I'm sure all of them are well over 1000 rounds each.

I waste a lot of time looking at gun reviews on YouTube.

Some "new to me" pistol will grab my curiosity and I'll read everything that I can find on it and then go to YouTube to see what the experts say about it.

Funny thing, going in I realize most of them are FOS. My mind is already made up that I'm not going to believe anything they say....but I watch em anyway.

So a guy reviews a J frame and complained about capacity? Or he asks why anyone would choose a j frame when you can get a gangster gat with 5 times the capacity?
.

Another example is that his first review of the p365 was negative despite him having no problems with the pistol while he tested it. He basically said that because other YT channels like MAC had a few alleged issues- that he didn't think it was a good choice. That's not objective at all.
You are correct. I remember watching that vid of his P365 review and feeling the same way about his statement.

He also has this thing of "high bore axis = not a good gun". He keeps mentioning this whenever he shoots P320, but rarely for other guns with similar high bore axis like Walther PPQ/PDP (or even 1911 for that matter). When Mason Lane won USPSA national champion TWICE with a P320 in Limited Division, which is filled with race guns, a competition shooter, which he claims he is, should know that "bore axis" does not matter.

I do still subscribe to his channel and enjoy watching it from time to time.

Not a dead horse I want to flog again, but I don't think bore axis has anything to do with it. The bore axis on a Sig is no different than a 1911. He shoots 1911s very well.
He has mentioned the bore axis before in another video for why he doesn’t like the P320. Personally I think he just doesn’t research the guns and is too lazy to learn how to shoot an Sig.

I don't know if any of you watch the Honest Outlaw on YouTube but he gives some of the best and probably most honest reviews out there. If he loves it he'll tell you and if he hates it he'll also tell you.

Recently he came out with a video in which he tells what he thinks are the 10 most unreliable firearms, and it caught me by surprise but he put the Sig P320 as #9 on the list. The list goes from 10-1 with 10 being the best firearm on the list of unreliable firearms and 1 being the worst of the unreliable firearms. So at least the P320 wasn't the worst, but still.

He bases his assessment on test reviews that he is done himself and also other information available elsewhere on the internet. Obviously he's going to **** off a lot of Sig P320 fans, but like I said, he tells it like he sees it. He doesn't hold back and he also doesn't suck up to manufacturers by giving them a good review if they don't earn it. So read 'em and weep.

All of the symptoms he showed is indicative of underpowered ammo, Glock Gen5s, H&Ks, and Sigs prefer hot ammo as all are +P safe and are on the overstrung side. If anyone gets some anemic 115gr. 9mm they will have a ton of FTE and stovepipes as the ejector is not punching the casing out fast enough as the slide velocity is not fast enough. Fire +P+, +P or any stout NATO/124gr ball through any Sig and you WILL NOT have an issue.

What he is doing is like putting no name truck stop gas in a Porsche.

Beretta 92 and a 1911 have virtually the same B.A. as a P320, yet no one will call the first 2 unshootable.

It's all bias. Nothing new in the gun world especially those who do not have access to a wide range of firearms.

I agree with the comments dont trust a guy who says he is honest. And particularly one who makes derogatory remarks'. Of the seven P320's I own and countless rounds, I have only had one malfunction and that was purposefully wimpy hand load in Spectre Comp. BTW bore axis has absolutely nothing to do with function of fire arm. It's simple Physics, the higher your GRIP is relative to bore yields least recoil flip. That is one reason the Sig P320 wins a lot of competitions, its easy to modify the firearm to get a higher grip with off hand. No serious competitor would even consider a pistol that was not 100% reliable. One of really good features for reliability is generous freebore, that allows it to swallow almost anything. And remember folks the most malfunctions in any make of gun are bad amo or lack of maintenance.

I had to search for the video. The link errors out.
Anyway, wow. The P320 was really thrown in with mostly road kill on this vid.
I haven’t had a single issue of any kind with any of my P320’s. Period. Well, except that they still occasionally call out to me that if I don’t fondle them enough and take them out to the range they might take matters into their own hands.
One other issue I have with the video is with the Springfield Prodigy. Yup, it had its issues coming out. Nothing (IMHO) a 1911 guy (or gal) couldn’t figure out!
Overall, I have liked his reviews. I’m a bit tainted now. I’m only intimately familiar with the two that I mentioned. He seems to be going on more interweb BS.
The video seemed to show all of his malfunctions with the P320 were stovepipes. Huh? Never had one with any P320! OK whatever.
With the Prodigy he relates more to here-say than anything else. For the price of it, there shouldn’t have been any issues, but it’s a 1911. Anyone that understands them knows how to tune them.
Again, the rest of the stuff he cried about is road kill to me. With that compilation he dropped down a notch in credibility, not that he had much more than most people making a living off YT!

Just because you can’t shoot it well, that doesn’t mean it’s not reliable.
If the gun functions properly, goes bang when it should, and doesn’t malfunction, then it’s reliable.
Reliability has nothing to do with how well you shoot it.

This was a surprise to me as well. I work at a pistol range on Camp Lejuene and I see Glock 29 and sig M18 all day long. I don’t see many malfunctions with either. If anything I see more with dry Glock slides. We have many shooters running 200-300 rounds a session. We see more ammo issues than we do weapon issues.

The experience that he sighted with his newest P320, a M17 or M18, is the same that I experienced during the break-in period. Mainly failure-to-extract. After the break-in period, my M17 was flawless and shot good, bad, and indifference ammo. Very dependable. My previous P320s (stretching back 10 years or more) did not experience this.
Honest Outlaw does not like the P320. He makes no bones about his view and preferences. He like many pistols that I don't like.
But the M17 was a departure in out-of-the-box reliability that previous P320 I have shot (a lot).
Thankfully, someone along the line taught me "never go into the field with an untested firearm". I personally bet every working gun that I use before trusting it with my well being.
IMHO

Don’t forget, Sig didn’t send him an evaluation copy of the P365 XMacro Comp (presumably due to his long-running antipathy toward P320 and Sig’s high bore axis generally) so why not throw down - and stir the clickpot a bit as a side benefit. This just polishes his “Honest” cred.
Does the Honest Outlaw solicit test guns from manufacturers? Is that what you're stating?
He states where his firearms come from -- personal, patreon purchases, donations from individuals, and donations from businesses.
Very few manufacturers donate firearms for testing. A LGS or two do from time to time. Most are purchased with patreon money (from supporters) or his own purchases.
The fact that Sig doesn't send him firearms does not impinge his credibility as you implied.

I have to say that HO's video resonated with me, but I am still hopeful. I purchased a P320 FS in January of this year and I experienced issues each time I went to the range. I have yet to have a range day without issues. I have had light striker issues, stove pipes, and feed failures. I initiated warranty work with Sig and they replaced the spring on the striker (3 week turnaround); everything else passed their tests.

Recently, just 3 days ago, I had a bullet casing get jammed so hard that I could not open the slide. I had to take it to an armorer in my town. The diagnosis so far from him is that the bullet casing is out of specification, so it was jammed really hard into the barrel. Somehow he got it out. He mentioned that ammunition manufacturers are getting lazy with their quality control because they are prioritizing quantity over quality. I've stopped using Herter's Ammo and started experimenting with various manufactures and so far I have found Remington and Winchester to not fail on me (anything above 115gr).

I must say this... I really love my P320 and I will not give up on it. So far I have about 350 rounds in it so I still think I'm in the break-in period with it. I am attributing all these issues I've experienced so far to the poor quality found with Herter's ammo. I will be picking up my P320 today and will take continue to take it to the range. I'll post again after I hit 1000 rounds. Wish me luck. 🍀🤞
