FYI I think most if not all of your requests would be met by options in FN's 509 line too. But I can't deny I love the VP9. I'd buy one in a heartbeat if they brought the manual safety option to the US market, but I don't think it's ever going to happen.

 

FN is a nice pistol however I admit, I don’t care for the grip feel.

 

I have been carrying a HK VP9SK and P30SK for a couple of years. They are very satisfactory. Those little subtle gripping ears are quite useful.

I've spent some time in Oberndorf with the master gunsmiths that work for HK, and be assured that they obsess on the designs.

 

I've owned several H&Ks, USP and compact also an early VP9 when they were about $500. Sold them all, nothing wrong with them, just preferred Sigs.

 

Nice choice. The VP9 is one of the best striker fired pistols available today.

 

Loved my VP9. My P30SK LEM, not so much. I think an OR VP9 is a solid choice.

 

I have a Full-size that's close in features. But it's a 10mm Springfeild XDM OSP. I took off the raised sights tho and put in some Night Fision tritiums. They're actually pretty dang bright too. They may make them in raised suppressor versions also, but not sure. I haven't delved into HK yet since I held one and didn't like the mag release style ages ago. It may be time to check them out again. Nice gun bud

I'm an HK fan (I currently own 16), but I found their striker fired offerings to be subpar.
I had a VP9 and a VP9 "Match" that I ended up selling.

For the money, a Canik is tough to beat. I wouldn’t trade my VP9 SK LE for one, but they have the high quality, low price market wrapped up.

 

Just glad you didn’t say Glock. Nothing wrong with the standard base models but there are superior options out there. Like the VP9 and M&P2.0.

Another plus is the thread pitch on the barrel is the same as Sig classic pistol threaded barrels. No changing out parts to swap over my suppressor.

no, I’m retiring a couple to the safe. I am considering moving a couple on. But really needed a beater 9mm that I don’t care if I scratch ding or wear off the finish. I already have 2 365s that I CC that I consider beaters but wanted a full size suppressor ready gun.

 

We will get by, I guess someone needs to buy those H&K things 😂

Glocks are my favorite striker fired pistols but the VP9 is a close second and not interested in any of the others other than maybe a P365XL.

I bought my VP9 shortly after it came out and it has been flawless with a wide variety of ammo and sweet shooter too.

If I ever see a decent deal on the VP9L optic ready conversion slide I will probably pick one up eventually.

 

😎👍🏼. HKs are great! The VP9 is awesome. I think the Walther PDP is also a great striker fired option too.

 

The mag release on a VP9 does take a bit to get used to.

Hey Biff, 45 isn’t in the cards. Don’t want or need a 45 supressor.

 

I don't want or need a suppressor either! Have you seen one in any of my pics? My personal opinion is that they are ridiculous and unnecessary! Not to mention the stupid cost, Federal registration, 6 to 12 months in gun jail for something if I really wanted I can build in about a half hour! However the suppressor height sights are very helpful with the Optics!

 

I'm sorry I guess I owe you an apology! I just went back and re-read the thread, I guess I didn't pay attention to the 9 mm aspect. Probably a couple of Whiskey's in. But I suggest if you're looking for something to plink with I would stick to the 22s!

 

The backstrap geometry is very contoured, must feel nice in the hand.
