I hope someone has finally found out whether the gas block is proprietary or not? I shoot suppressed and reload and while the 716i will cycle, it destroys the brass. I’ve tried installing an RCA adjustable gas key but learned the hard way the 716i’s gas key is proprietary! Now my last option is the gas block but I don’t want to grind off the pins if it’s proprietary as well.
What the hell Sig?

There's a thread for the 716. U may find answers there. I'd like to know also for when I start doing mine. I saw a new product tho. Since the 716 may have a proprietary handgaurd and now no adjustable gas block. And if ya do install one u may have trouble accessing it to adjust it with the handgaurd as it is now. There's a new option called.. "rifle speed gas control". That allows the user to select different lengths of collars that are connected to the gas block and extend out past the handguard. I'll have to get out my 716 and look and see how it's setup again but it may be do-able

Access to adjusting the gas block wouldn’t be an issue because I always shoot suppressed so after I have it where I want it- it will be fine. My main concern is the gas port lining up with a different gas block. I measured everything I can except how far the gas port sets off the shoulder. I have also read every post that I can find on here and the internet and the most I have found is removing the gas block to replace the Handguard.

Newbie here. Made this account just to give an FYI for those who are interested in an AGB for their Tread 716i.

I mounted an SLR Sentry 7 on mine. Clamp-style is the way to go. Don't bother with set screw gas blocks because a .750 AGB using set screws will not sit snug around the barrel. The clamp style will grasp the barrel and do the job.

I drilled the tapered pins then tapped them out with a steel punch and 3 & 1/2 lb hammer. The gas port diameter on my barrel is 0.1376 inches.

For those concerned about the gas tube clearing the barrel nut with this gas block: it will and I had no issues. I recommend getting a custom gas tube although the factory gas tube will work. The factory gas tube is 15 and ⅛ inches. I recommend making measurements once the factory gas block is off and go from there.

It runs like a champ and cycles well. No FTF, FTE, or anything that made me consider taking it off. Hope this helps.
FYI regarding 716I Tread.
