I am trying to mount the Romeo 1 on my P320 X5 & found out the
mounting screws require 25-28in lb of torque.....& that over tightening the screws with the manual supplied wrench can potentially fracture the lens...under stress.
So I ordered a FAT torque wrench from amazon but none of the 10 bits that came with the wrench fit the mounting screws , so now i am on the hunt for the correct size bit but am not sure if it is 7/64 or 11mm or what it is.....have looked on line for this info but unable to find anything....I surely do not want to strip the screws & wind up with a worse problem....If anybody knows what screw/type & size please let me know. Thanks in advance for any information.

Sorry I didn't get you the answer earlier, but just seeing this thread. I found the same thing when I got my fat wrench to torque Romeo's on with. But I already had the correct bit in a different tool set I have for guns, a Wheeler screwdriver kit. The Wheeler number on the bit that fits the Romeo screws is 159-930, which is 1/8", as you said.

Key there is to NOT use the tool the Romeo comes with to access the battery. You'll wreck the tool and/or the battery door. Use a screwdriver bit that fits the slot as closely as possible with no slop.

I don't really know of a torque spec, but I get it pretty snug. I would not call it tight though. When I get my 2 replacement Romeo's on Monday from FedEx, I'll check the torque I set them to once I install the batteries. That'd be a good thing to know anyway.

yes i heard from youtube vid. that 10inch lb is the torque for the battery cover on the Romeo 1, i was able to use my fat wrench for that & 10 inch lb was well beyond what i thought was good enough using the supplied tool. i was a bit worried that maybe the youtube vid was incorrect, but feel better now that it was cited here in the forum...thanks guys!!! have a good day! :)
