Mine has a born date of Nov 06 and has a SIG H3 front. While not dim the front dot is noticeably smaller than the two rear dots, giving it the appearance of being dim. I'm not yet sure if it's enough of an issue to deal with the hassle of getting it replaced.

My March built 365 has bright front and rear sights, October built 365 has very dim front and rear. Called Sig about two weeks ago and they are sending me new sights, received the order email but they have not shipped so probably on back order or Sig is having a problem and trying to get it fixed. There is a post from someone who sent in a gun with a dim front sight who was told sight is ok and Sig would not replace it. Leave it to Sig to find ways to screw up a great gun. I wound up putting orange-red Trijicon HD sights on my October 365.

My 365 has a BOD of 25 Oct 2018 and it has the SIG-H3 on the front sight. But the front sight is quite a bit dimmer than the backsight. Also the green ring on the front sight is a dark green that literally disappears when shooting. I hate the sights because of this. I have rented a 365 at the local gun range and seem to remember the front sight having more of a "POP" to it. I am currently looking for replacements. But if this is a defect I'll see if I can get replacements from SIG.

I've attached a couple pics. Looking for opinions. Is this what you see and is it normal? Thanks
Mine was built the month before and looks similar to yours. Yes the front is dimmer than the rear. Fortunately or unfortunately, my gun shoots so darned low I plan on getting a Dawson Precision Tritium front sight .140 (currently .165").

I think these are the sights made by Sig and that earlier 365's used a different manufacturer.

Ya know if Sig is going to change the front sights on a P365 then they should at the least put on a sight equal to or of better quality than their original X-Ray 3 TG HS front sights that were fitted to P365's back in February.
Everyone was very impressed with the change from Sig's Night Sights to the X-Ray 3's after their early Stop Shipping for changes Fiasco.
Sig hit a home run with the P365 improvements.

It doesn't take a rocket Scientist to figure out that the SIG H3's are not doing well.
Especially when they see P365 streaming back into the Mothership.
Just when things were calmed down and going well..Sig has to throw a wrench into their own works.
Sig should have just left well enough alone...But Nooooo!
What's that saying.."One Step Forward and two Steps Back!"

I wouldn't want to be the person that gave the "Go-Ahead" to change the P365 front sights to the SIG H3.

The TG H3's are the original X-Ray 3's from February when Sig started shipping again and discontinued the Night Sights.
My P365 has a Born on Date of March 19th and of course has the TG H3 front sight.

So we have Sept. 24th. with the TG H3...
Anyone have a later date with the TG H3?

Trying to figure out when Sig started shipping P365's with the Dimmer "SIG H3" front sights.

How about this rear comparison to left is my October build and on right side is my July build, it a completely different way of securing the tritium vials and I've really not seen anyone else mention it on this forum. I noticed it at the gun shop before purchasing and the gun shop had 9 more 365's all with a October 16 build date and we checked all had this same "new" rear sight.

Yes Sir, 27 September 2018, TG H3. :salute2:

I looked at my P365 and if you have a TG H3 front sight then the rear sight should also have TG H3 on it.
Located on the left side of the rear sight (Take down Lever and Slide lock side)
Both Front and Back sights are marked on the same side.

I'd bet that the SIG H3's are stamped front and back as a set, just like the TG H3's are.

So I saw several P365s today and Legions. We could not find anything specific that would lead to whether they would have a TG front or a SIG front. The P365 that had the SIG front sight was nice and bright.

The mystery continues...

Nope, my Oct '18 P365 has a SIG-H3 front and a TG-H3 rear sight.

After talking to my Sig rep, they are going to send me a new front sight...however, they are back ordered so who knows when it will arrive.

My Nov '18 P365 has a dim front SIG-H3 too. Has CS been sending out TG-H3s to customers who need a replacement? I'd rather not send the whole gun back to NH if I can help it.

All you send back is the slide and they kept mine only 5 days.
They paid the shipping both directions.
That's beautiful. When I sent my P229 in for issues, they needed to return it to me via FFL. I'm glad I can skip that step by just sending the slide on the p365.

Mine is 10-28-18 build. Has the SIG-H3 front and the TG-H3 rear. Both are dead and worthless.
I dont think i`m going to waste my time calling for replacements, i dont like them anyway.
I`ll buy a better set that i like. Thats what i`ve been doing for years anyway, no big deal.

All i`m hoping for, is that this gun will run good and no past issues we`ve all seen with this model gun.
I haven`t even shot it yet... might get to range sunday and see how it works.
My last sig was a P938... yep it broke, sold it... so one more chance with sig.
If this P365 has issues, it too, will go down the road and i`ll never buy their products again.

My M&P`s (9mm PC shield & 45 shield & PC-9L ported) and my Glocks have been great guns.
My glocks (exception to my G43) have had brass to the face issues, which i fixed with longer ejectors, have run flawless.
The night sights (trijicon) on my glocks are VERY bright at night, probably just get a set of trijicon`s for P365 and call it good.
But before i spend the money on sights for the P365, we`re gonna run a shitload of ammo thru it first BEFORE i plunk down the cash for sights.

Sig H3 problem

After agonizing forever on whether to buy a Sig 365, given all of the negative feedback on this site, I finally decided to jump into the water today, and guess what? The water is fine.

Guess I must live in a great part of the USA, because getting one in central Kansas is very easy. Two of my favorite local dealers say they have had 2-4 in stock for months. I had not even checked up until now because you all had convinced me they were not being shipped, I guess. And now with this thread discussing the bad Sig-H3 sights, I was even more discouraged.

Fortunately, I happened into one of these frequented spots today and saw a 365 just laying there for $500. When I remarked about them being hard to find, he shrugged and said he can always get them. Had five in stock. The one in the case had a Sig-H3 front sight and he let me take it into a dark room where I could see it was perfectly fine. Good in the light, too. Since it was the display model, he pulled another out of the back, and it had the TG-H3 front sight on it. I took it into the dark room and it was no different. A little brighter in the light, maybe. I took it home and then to the range, where straight out of the box, with no tear down or lubing, it was fed 250 rounds of Federal white box, CCI Blazer brass, Federal American Eagle, and even 50 rounds of steel cased Tul-Ammo with not a single failure to feed or go into battery. I literally shot slow fire, dropped the slide with the release and by pulling the slide, used three different magazines, limp wristed as best I could, and shot the gun right side up, upside down, and right and left sideways with each brand. I could not make it malfunction!

Maybe I am just lucky, or maybe Sig has ironed out all of the problems, but I am a little irritated that this forum kept me from picking up one of these for so long. It is already one of my favorite Sigs! I put 250 rounds through a "pocket pistol" and never felt any sting in my shooting hand whatsoever, and saw accuracy equal to many of my full sized guns. I shot one 50 foot sand bag group under 3 inches!! 2-3 inches at off hand at combat range was the norm, and it is one of the few Sigs I own (up to 15 or 16 now...lost count) that shot point of aim perfectly at 7 yards out of the box. I Can't count how many sights I have changed and drifted over the years to achieve this with every other model imaginable.

Not sure what the problems have been for all of the other naysayers, but I am sold on this gun. Can only assume that Sig has been listening and that all of the earlier problems have been fixed. Thank you, Sig-Sauer!

Congratulations on your new Sig......Ya gotta sift thru the BS on the internet, including here on the forum to get all of the truth of the matter....hence its your own fault for prolonging your enjoyment of such a AWESOME gun. :p
