Have you ever had any kind of magazine failure in a P365 or P365XL?

Broken spring?
Weak spring?
Malformed spring?
Sticking follower?
Failure to feed?
Failure to latch into the magazine well?
Failure to eject?
Cracked floorplate?
Bent case?
Internal case burrs?

What was the cause of the problem?

How did you cure the problem?

Here is a company selling replacement springs for P365 magazines:

The question is are these Sig magazine springs and followers actually becoming weak or worn, or are they just playing upon people's fears to sell products?

Of close to a dozen P365 mags I did have the spring get a little weak in one 10-rounder. The mag still worked, but it was noticeably weaker than my other mags so I used that one to put my new MagGuts spring in. Other than that no issues to speak of. Regarding Lakeline, they make a lot of good products but they also offer several things that essentially fix what wasn't broken to begin with. For example I have no idea why anyone would need to replace their followers with metal ones. I don't know who their source is for springs, but personally I only trust Wolff as a gunspring maker.

What makes you say something like this? Seems awfully defensive. Lakeline makes a lot of quality parts for other guns. Wolff makes a bajillion springs for all kinds of guns. Are they exploiting my fears every time I buy a package of +10% springs from them to replace worn factory ones? Nope. They're providing an excellent replacement product. You can't be enough of a fan boy to believe that your gun will not need replacement parts, and let's face it a lot of new OEM mags (and ones considered quality aftermarket) out there have some pretty weak springs to begin with, especially these days. I've noticed a downhill trend of magazine spring quality the past ten years which I believe causes a lot of people's FTF issues that otherwise wouldn't exist if the mags (and the recoil springs) were just a bit more stout to begin with out of the box.

I’m testing a problem now with the twelve round mag with pinky extension, when fully loaded its nearly impossible to rack, I did manage to force it on a second try but it was not what you’d want to discover in need, popped a round out , no issues, never seen a full mag cause drag like this. I’m trying the 10 and 15 this week to see if it’s just this extended one , my xl and m18 no issues with packed mags

If not broken, don't fix it!
I keep my 365 and XL stock, my mags has been loaded since the first day and never had any problems.
I ran an initial test of 1000 rounds with a couple of 12 rounders and never had problems.
The users manual says that the RSA has to be changed every 2500 rounds and that all I did!

As has been well documented here, some OEM sig mags can experience follower hang up at the cut out (its a stamped opening and can get very small burrs that will contact the follower - you can (if you choose to) gently file the follower lower edge, or the cut out burr). I have personally experienced this, but it never caused a failure for me - but I did send 2 mags back for replacement. Only other experience has been slide releasing when topped off mag gets slapped home (maybe 10% - 20% of the time for me). This is not a problem for me - and I have seen this a few times on other pistols.

Thanks for the heads up. I checked three 12 rd mags and two 15 rd mags and they are all burr free. I will check any magazines that I buy in the future to make sure that the are burr free.

I have to classify this as a manufacturing error. If you have a magazine with any burrs around the cutouts or around any of the holes in the INSIDE of the magazine, it's extremely likely someone screwed up and accidentally flipped the stamped and punched metal magazine blank upside down before it was formed.

Whenever you punch a hole through metal, any burrs will form on the exit side of the hole that the punch made. The side that the punch first contacted will almost always have a burr free hole.

Yes, I've also experienced the Sig OEM mag follower hangup with the P226 OEM 40/357 mags. Bundy and dsk seemed to have suddenly changed topics on me feeling the need to jump in and defend something that I wasn't even talking about. I was referring to Lake's Kahr and other replacement parts. Guys go ahead and re-read my post as many times as necessary.
