P365 Fire Control Unit - modular?

Is the P365 just like the P320 in that the FCU of the 365 can be readily moved between all versions of the P365 grip module - such as between standard grip module and XL grip module?

In that light, can the slides of the standard P365 and the P365XL be swapped interchangeably?

I'm thinking, perhaps one could buy a standard P365 pistol, and then buy an XL grip module and an XL slide/barrel unit and mix and match all those parts, as you can with P320s?

Yes, the p365 is the FCU and can be removed and put into other modules and those modules can have regular p365 slides or XL slides.

With that being said, based on my experience with the XL. Get the XL and source parts to the p365. P365 slides and modules are easier to find than vice versa.

Good luck.

Welcome. I have the XL and love it. Have the regular P365 grip if I need more Concealment. Don't have a slide yet but see them more available than XL slides.

For mags: check out tactical development. They make a base plate that allows p365 mags to work with XL. In case you can only find p365 mags like myself.

Yup. It’s all interchangeable for the most part. I currently carry a 365 grip with the XL slide for work. It allows me to use a flush mag when I’m more aware of printing. And carry a 15 round mag as well. I started with the 365. Then bought a slide and barrel, and XL grip separately. Just swapped in my FCU from my regular 365. Bam, you now have an XL.

The writer suggests that you can swap the fcu from the standard p365 and "bam" you have an xl. My point is there are small but noticeable differences between them besides the obvious. I know the triggers can be swapped or upgraded. Pertinent info should be included in pics like the one referenced. Like " I have swapped triggers too"

my friend wanted the same thing, after he saw me put xl frame on my p365, but for the cost of a complete xl upper and grip module, buy another xl pistol....
my p365 was $499 (local)
xl is $599 (local)
xl frame is $59 (mgw)
xl upper complete is $499 (online)
xl slide alone is $299 (sig)
xl barrel is $149 (sig)
xl recoil spring $30 (mgw)
prices are what i found online......
so for me....buy another pistol......IMHO

Agreed. Buying another pistol is the more economical option.
Built a few P365s from the FCU up and tried the exchange kits. Both in the end cost more than simply buying another P365.
Fun projects but costly.

A while ago I contemplated buying all the individual parts to build a P365. But it added up to well over $100 I'd pay for a complete gun ($499 or $599 XL). I ended up finding a virtually new XL for sale on our local gun board - $500.

I've ended up swapping the curved trigger in the family P365s to SIG flat - takes maybe 30 mins each taking your time watching the video as you go (have to be patient at times). I also tried the AC flat and it was just enough different feel from the SIG flat that I didn't like it (for me). The AC slightly curved trigger is pretty nice I found out.

And having bit on the AR interchangeability, like many others, I found when you buy all the parts at retail, you won't save money. You will arrive at a working gun that is not like many or any other, tho. Since the AR is nearly all drop in, and SIG has seen fit to do the same, where you save is not having shops and gunsmiths fitting the parts and making it work.

There is a premium using a lot of aftermarket parts, we keep lining up for it tho. So far all I have done is a left side safety. However, the Spartan Locker just showed up for my truck, so there is that. Tomorrow's forecast is 21F and I've appointments, oh well.

Its not ALL about guns.

I would like to know more about installing a left side safety on a regular 365 fcu
Thanks
