Buds has the sig p238 legion for sale at $505... that's a good deal as far as I can tell after looking on alot of sites. I have wanted a legion for a while now and was in the market for a 380 pocket pistol. Was looking at the cheap $400 Springfield911 when I found this p238 legion. Any reason why I shouldn't buy a p238 legion? I'm ready to jump on this deal.

I own the P238 Legion. That is the best price I have seen. I bought mine in February for $620 which was the best price going at that time. I have had no issues with it. For the added benefits of SAS treatment, extra mag and better trigger, it is well worth the extra price. That said, I bought this for the size and if I could do it over, I may have opted for a non-Legion without the magwell due to the grip length difference. I like the option of using a 6 rounder which you cant do with the Legion. I still like it a lot and wont get rid of it.

That sounds like a very good price. If you are comfortable with the added grip length of the mag well design, and familiar/comfortable with the single action (SAO) trigger and manual safety then the P238 Legion looks like a nice package.

Don't fret about the guide rod though, the P238 is a very solid one piece design. The two piece rod is a P938 problem.

I just picked up a new P238 Legion today from Sportsman's Warehouse, it was an on line deal for $429.99. Wasn't anything I was looking for, it was just too good of a deal to pass up. Plus Sig was offering a rebate on all the Legion models, free ammo bag, 100 rounds of Sig range ammo and 20 rounds so Sig self defense ammo. Just too much to pass up, and it is a great little gun.

That is a very good price. I was checking prices recently on the P238 SAS that my wife has and they were still as high $620, with the P938 SAS at $699. So $505 looks to me to be a loss leader price. If I was in the market I'd jump on it. I love my 938 Legion and it has run flawlessly, as has my wife's 238 SAS.
