I've got one of each and I love them both.
The Super Target Nitron is an elegant looking, refined, smooth running, beautifully made, and perfectly reliable 1911 that rivals my X Series pistols in fit and finish.
On the other hand, my P220 Super Match, while not as smooth running or refined, is an extraordinarilly accurate and reliable pistol and mine has over 25,000 rounds through it with only a couple of clearly ammunition related stoppages.
This pistol is extraordinary in its accuracy and it's acquited itself very favorably against high end semi custom 1911s costing fully several times it's price.
It's a more accurate pistol than the Super Target.
Mine is one of the units with an American Made slide on a German frame with the large beaver tail, and a German barrel.
After 25,000 rounds the pistol is as accurate and reliable as it was right out of the box, and the alloy frame still exhibits almost no wear except for two tiny locations at the top of the rails furthest from the breach end.
The 1911 Super Target and P220 Super Match are both excellent pistols, but if you can get your hands on only one I'd recommend the P220 Super Match hands down, and without any hesitation.
I shoot the P220 Super Match with, and without, the red dot and I'm fastidious about cleaning and lubing my guns after every range session.
I also lube liberally with TW25B.
