Earlier this week Sig had several 220 models listed on the website..Checked today and the only model listed was the 220 Legion.
That's what I think. Most cannot afford a $1200 brand new Sig or a $900 used one. Sig would be stupid not to have a non-Legion line-up for the P220 and P226 in the long-termMaybe they're just purging inventories, as they get ready to release a new flavor of 220 and 226. ….
I've thought the same thing. I'm pretty entrenched in the metal frame camp for logical to me reasons but to the best of my recollection I've never insulted the polymer side with slurs such as Tupperware. If it's reliable, accurate and works for you that's all that matters. If you can appreciate variety, we live in the best time imaginable.
Nothing wrong with appreciating talented craftsmanship, by any means. My passion for precision machinery must be a dying desire. It's really hard for me to equate injection molded plastic with precision.
It seems like I tend to jump on a lot of SIG models shortly after they are discontinued. That's when it hits me that they are not long for this Earth. Maybe the "Forbidden Fruit"/"Hard To Get Girl" factor plays into it too. I don't know. Sadly, the secondary market gets most of my money, instead of SIG, so I'm probably part of the problem. I do order parts and Mags from them, though. If this doesn't teach you that if you see something you like, grab it, nothing will. There have been a multitude of interesting guns that piqued my curiosity over the years and I just wasn't fast enough to go grab one before they disappeared from the market.
