Juist put a Vortex Defender XL on a 320SXG. Fit like a glove.

 

Yep…Vortex has some nice glass too!

Also I gotta say the Holosun 320 SCS “with serrations” on the side are very nice also, on a couple of AXG builds, with updated new aftermarket screws!

 

Mine came with the romeo x compact… not interested in changing that… 😎

 

@Kos1 …..OMG I give you A++ for resilienece and efforts to make it work….BUT there is no way I would go thru all that to put on that NEW beauty SS Carry!
Thats where SIG is tryin to give us hints to use their setups already proven and manufactured for their new releases etc….I guess what I am seeing more of and they are adapting is proprietary optics for their new offerings (also co-witness old irons non suppressed too) is older slide and earlier optics we were trying to make work thru the evolution of the optics RDS race for dollars etc….but i tread carefully in this area now! Things are changing so fast, I want my products tested and warrantied these days.
Trust me I am a big RMR, SRO believer so I stick to those to trust life with, BUT have to say SIG is bringing in the new stuff that works with the speciality weapons offerings and YES they are confusing the living s?$! Out of everyone on that topic driving me crazy too etc….anyway I am rambling…I personally only use Trijicon, Leupold, Sig and maybe Vortex Holosun, recently Aimpoint for RDS…..and I try to keep away from the switching things around game anymore , BUT we also have to be careful to get QUALITY screws for said optics too, SIG is swapping part numbers on their bags and books not matching up and quality issues SIG needs to get handled TODAY!! I suggest buy weapon then optic so you have the OG plate SIG is NOT providing with optics installed on buys etc (BIG NO NO SIG Bad Business) Otherwise with that said take your time and get the right measurements and parts so you dont end up destroying weapon or warranty or loose your life with non designed parts….I know alot of word vomit here too to each is own…but I have seen and dealt with ALOT of issues like above and its exhausting and ridiculous trying to monkey around with stuff. Just payin it forward….More importantly have fun and enjoy! You have some nice weapons!!

I just bought both a S&W M&P .40 2.0 metal (to replace my ultra snappy .40 2.0 shield micro) and the Sig 1911 X stainless. I put a Holosun EPS Carry green dot on the S&W, but it seems kinda small to put on a 1911. I searched high and low for the perfect optic, finally choosing the Sig Sauer RomeoX, mainly due to their claim that it’s perfect for precise co-witnessing. I’ve gotten kind of spoiled about pistol optics and co-witnessing since both of my Staccato’s (P and XC) co-witness perfectly with Holosun 508 Comps, 1 red, 1 green. The RomeoX is not an enclosed emitter, like the Holosun EPS, but I have no experience with enclosed red dots, and am more concerned with co-witnessing. Has anyone set up their 1911X with this optic? If so, I’d love to get your opinions. Thanks.

 

I use the Open versions SORX1200 Circle Dot Red Romeo X Compact Open Black with irons built in that also co-witness on both my 1911X full size Nitron and SS offerings.
They also have the Enclosed Pro versions also for more dollars and dont have irons built in, when you go to Sigs website just search Romeo X etc to see the pics of them and pricing to see what they have. They also have the Compact enclosed too see links below.

I have included some pics below to show the P226 X5 enclosed Pro vs the 1911x’s open Compacts for reference and you can see how different those optics plate footprints are.

Thanks for the information and the great photos! One can clearly see how the open reflex aligns perfectly with the rear iron xray sight. This is exactly what I want. I ordered it though Amazon and I’ll have it before I can pick up the 1911X, thanks to an anti 2nd amendment State mandated waiting period. Your response confirms what I was hoping for. I always agree pics are worth a thousand words, but atleast you can see three different examples Pro Enclosed vs Compact enclosed vs Compact Open w irons. Its confusing as hec I know thanks SIG! I only get Circle Dot versions so I have options to change the small Moa dot only and large circle reticle! Cheers and glad I could help, my phone was glitching trying to get post in…

 

Nice setup! I’ve actually got a GUNNR ODIN FFP LPVO 1-6x28 mounted on one of my rifles—awesome glass, super clear edge-to-edge, and the FFP reticle holds true across the range. Built like a tank, too. Been thinking of trying one of their other optics (maybe red dot or micro reflex) for a pistol setup next.
