Is the undercut deeper than on the Elite and Legion models? There are quite a few changes to the new X Legion:
- full length dust cover/rail
- ability to change action between SAO and DA/SA on same frame
- new generation of adjustable triggers for each action
- X frame trigger guard undercut and grip bevel cuts

Excellent question. Enquiring minds want to know!I wonder if the 226 X-Carry means they'll discontinue the P229 Legion (which I've been using as my primary pistol)
Looks to be the same as the X5 with an additional bevel over the once-rounded elite frameIs the undercut deeper than on the Elite and Legion models?
Yes, that’s one of the main benefits.Anyone know if the Carry version will still work with OEM regular P226 magazines?
How does a P226 retire? Does it get framed and hung on a wall?I love this new P226 but, but ,but I think we need to sit and watch how this thing shakes out ??? Sig has not been up to snuff and running here lately and we dont want to be beta testers, do we? My 26,000rd now P226 Tac ops needs retiring but I'm gonna wait. I'd be happy with an older one like mine who belonged to a gun nerd who never shot it much.
I hung around longer than I should have to ease the emotions and uncertainty that a lot of people around me expressed before I retired. How does a P226 retire? Does it get framed and hung on a wall?
That was my initial thought, as well. I CC compact 4" hammer guns. They conceal perfectly for me all year round in the appendix position. Did a quick gun hero size comparison with one of my EDCs. Will definitely want to get this in my hands for a closer look.My guess would be no I think there is still a market for the shorter grip (15rd). However, I could be wrong - I have been before. At least I hope the 229 stays
Man that is awesome. Not only is the gun beautiful but the red dot looks beautiful too. I love the way they sit so low on the slide. Did that RDS. Come with the gun or did you buy it separately? I didn’t know they released these yet. You’re so lucky. Send us a range report after your next outingView attachment 665437
Picked up the P226X Legion RXSL this weekend. It’s a very flat shooter.
seems that finding a holster is going to be a trick. Maybe have to go with an X5 holster to accommodate the longer rail/dust cover. Any recommendations?
This is the RXSL model that comes with the dot. Range report is that it’s got a fantastic trigger and is very flat shooting.Man that is awesome. Sig P226 X Legion SAO in stock now at MidwayUSA
I believe you are correct… did not act fast enough on the P220 Legion carry… they sold out before I could get one ordered… perhaps a P220 X Five carry is in the works!A new P220 X Carry in .45ACP would probably upset the balance of the universe, as sales would be on a quantum scale. Of course, SIG wouldn't be able to keep up with demand or QC would drop off..![]()
