I'm not a fan of the new DA/Sa trigger look. It reminds me of the P322 curved trigger. I am curious about its adjustability, though.

've seen the price point on the P211 is going to be around $2,400.00. Has anyone got a good guesstimate on what the P226 Legion Compact is going to sell for?

 

I’m going to guess MSRP around $1,250.

My guess would be north of $1500.

 

MSRP for current Legions is $1,430 and street price is around $1,200. I can see MSRP at $1,500 and prices dropping in 9 months.

 

The P-Classic Legion pistols have been sold for $1349.99 at my LGS… I assume the X-Carry may be around that price too.

I don't know if there is enough of a difference between the P229 Legion and a P226 x carry legion to justify the inevitable higher price. Besides, I can cope with the smaller grip of the 229. I would imagine the price on the 229 may be coming down over the next few months too.
I will wait to see one in the LGS.

 

Definitely let your LGS know you are interested. I live in NH and none of the LGS's have them. I also went to Sig in Epping NH and they sold out well over a month ago knowing the pending announcement. Guns.com may still have them in stock. Good luck

 

That configurable action is interesting. Explains why grip panels extend so far back on the tail - to cover the holes for the safety levers.

I am curious to see how they implemented a "configurable" action. God help us if someone discovers a drop safety issue. 😄

 

I am curious if it will be possible to get a combination of trigger bar and safety that allows for a DA/SA action with manual safety on these new frames similar to the CZ75.

 

The 226 X5 Legion is a phenomenal gun. If this is effectively a short 226 X5 Legion it will be fantastic.

 

Well I've built enough good will with the Wife where I shouldn't get too much static when I walk in the house with that P-226 X-carry legion. I figure she can only stay ****** at me for so long before she forget about it because that thing WILL come in the house when it's released.

 

Of all of the Sigs I own, I still don’t have a Legion.
I think once they are released I will be all over the P226-XCarry Legion SAO. It seems to check all of the boxes for me. Damn Sig!
I have really chewed up my wallet over the past year or so with firearms and accessories. Sig is to blame for half of my spending.
But if I come across the opportunity to grab this one at even a somewhat reasonable price, I will.

I thought the same thing, but I hope not.

 

I want the X Carry with no rail in a SAS version please. It's minimal but having the frame/slide a tad narrower than the P229 would be nice not to mention magazine commonality with all my P226 guns. My nearly new M11-A1 would be traded off in a hurry.

 

I just want one in black! I’ll never understand why Sig keeps selling the Legion gray only. They need to make a black one standard. Hopefully the military/ LE contracts will pickup black ones and make available to us veterans.

 

Will be on the look out for the P226 XCarry SAO or price drops on the P229 Legion SAO.

 

I like the looks, yet I probably will stay with my Legion P226 SAO, of course Signess could get me I could buy both the X full and carry model 🫣

 

As much as it pains me, I don't see a need for them to keep the P229 in the lineup with this change. Sig's specs on the new product page on their site shows that the new XCarry is 5.25" tall. That's shorter than the current P229 and P226. It does look like they took a little height off the slide compared to the current models to achieve that, though I would like to see a side-by-side comparison to confirm. The changes to the slide don't seem to account for a full 1/4" cut in height.

 

Yeah IDK I'm not really excited about these new models. It will probably be 2-3 years before I actually see one and be able to check it out.
If $1,200+ kind of a turn off.
I'm interested in what that trigger feels like.

If I were going to replace my P229 (which at this time is unlikely), I would probably buy a Dan Wesson optic ready DWX Compact rather than a P226 Legion X-Carry.

 

My exact same thoughts but knowing me, I'd probably burn the wallet by getting both of them (...& keep the P229 Legion SAO).
