I'm not a 228 expert, but have a W.German KB TT 228, and it's a nickel slide, black frame. I've never seen a 228 in the configuration in your pics.

 

I agree. I have a few German / W.German P228 and have never seen one of this configuration. OTOH I am not a fan of 2-tone guns. It is impossible to see details on a pic taken with a cell phone.

I took those pics with a crappy cell phone. 12131 was helping me out with info on the gun. He posted the pics at my request.

 

I am gonna take some digital pics and post them for more detail. According to the guy i bought it from, he says it came that way factory.
