MCX Virtus FDE 11 pistol Chrome lined barrels???

Hello, this is my 1st post I think. 2 questions.

1. Does the Virtus 556mm come with a Chromelined bore and barrel? I think mine does. I have seen conflicting reports on this. Can some of you chime in please. Thanks

2. I have a Gen 2 516 in 556 10.5 inch barrel. The chamber doesn’t appear to be chrome lined but the barrel does??? Weird Any insight would be appreciated.

no they are qpc or nitride or melonite or whatever u want to call the surface conversion tech.they think chrome lined barrels have too much variance

I believe that the law enforcement and military barrels are chrome lined.

Sometimes LE barrels make it into the civilian market.

I called sig about my virtus. They ran the serial number and said it’s an LE version is chrome lined.
