I am having a problem with the minus button on my 507k
You might want to check to be sure you don’t have the controls in “lock mode”. This mode disables the use of the buttons until you exit lock mode (consult owner’s manual). If this isn’t the case, you may have to return to the place of purchase or the manufacturer. I believe the sight has a lifetime warranty.

Mine was replaced (for a different reason) and the replacement unit has operated correctly.

Good luck,
Gary

I am having the same damn problem. I bought my holosun Greendot and ever since I’ve gotten it, once i zero in the sites, a day later the sites are completely off or if I give it a good knock with my palm it’s off as well. I can’t get through to customer support either.

Are you sure it's the sight and not the slide/optic interface? If your screws aren't torqued to spec and the optic easily twists of shifts, then that's a different problem than the optic malfunctioning. Try marking where it is, then give it a small push on each side to see if it moves. More often than not, it's an installation issue rather than an optic one.

I am having a problem with the minus button on my 507k
I also have a problem with the minus button on my green 507k. Basically, I cannot change the reticle, because when I press and hold the minus button per the instructions, the reticle disappears. Holding it down again, will make it reappear, but the reticle does not change. So if I accidentally press the minus button, which has happened, it appears that the unit has a dead battery, but it is really just in some kind of reticle off mode. A battery change resets the unit, but does not fix the problem. I have also had intermittent problems with the plus button. I just sent it back to Holosun for the second time. The first time they could not duplicate the problem.

I was an early adopter of the 507K. First one arrived with ripped rubber on one of the buttons. Replacement got here quickly and has been great ever since. I have the V1 one, with the larger, stacked buttons.

In fairness, I don’t know yet if the 507k problem is actually the sight itself or the cheap battery they supplied with the sight. I replaced the supplied battery with an Energizer and the problem has not resurfaced yet. I will give it some more time and will report on the results after an appropriate time has passed.

It is discouraging to see the post above that mentions having seen ALL brands of RDS fail in matches and the opinion that the RDS should not be trusted for EDC.
Thats a load of bull that they cant be trusted for edc. We have been using red dots in special operation for quite some times in the hardest of situations. Much harder than edc situations and have no issues. People that say stuff like that are full of bull. People that say they cant be trusted are people that refuse to accept the change or listen or internet rumors.

What you see at competitions are a variety of optics from cheap optics to people not knowing how to using them correctly. Seen everything from them not being turned on to batteries being dead, to people trying to use cheap optics they shouldn't be using. But the p[people using quality optics have no issues. If you purchase a quality optic, maintain the battery, there is no reason it wont hold up to edc.

It has been well documented that Holosuns with cheap batteries are knock-offs. There was a page on their website describing this as well as several YouTube videos.

Umm.. Not so sure about this. Holosun replaced one of mine that had similar problems. None of my three came with Energizer batteries. Shipping with Energizer batteries may be a recent change, however as I bought mine shortly after the "x2" version became available.

Where did you buy it from? Iv seen first hand knockoffs from Amazon. Do a little digging on how to spot a fake. Not saying you got bummed on a fake as you might of just had bad luck twice. As bad luck has also happened to me on adjustable gas blocks but 3rd time was the charm

Also on the 507k version Iv noticed if I do the sling shot method to rack the slide I'd sometimes push/hold a button on the optic

Both of my 508t x2 one green and one red purchased within past 6 months came with Holosun brand batteries. Both are legit and confirmed so. The red was purchased last month.

Two 507c x2’s and one 507k x2, zero issues here. Mine just work.
To continue since I posted this...In addition to the above, I've shot my HS407k 618 rounds on my P365X. It's my EDC. No issues with the optic. The HS507c on my USPSA Glock 34 has accumulated 2,303 rounds since being mounted February 2021. Also no issues.

I ran my Glock 19 MOS+507c in a Tim Herron 2-day class in Homestead FL in February. That optic had about 800 trouble-free rounds through it when I sold it (I sold the G19 because I decided the P365X was working better as a carry gun anyway, and to put $ towards a 1911).

In April, I noticed my battery tray screw on the 407k had dun r u n n o f t. I guess I didn't torque it sufficiently at my last Birthday battery change. I contacted Holosun asking for sources for a replacement screw, and they ended up sending me (free) a new battery tray and two screws. All they needed was a photo of the optic, the S/N and the retailer where I bought it (www.tacrig.com). The customer service folks I dealt with via email were very responsive and professional.

I've recently sold the 407k as I am going to buy a Holosun EPS Carry, their new closed emitter MRDS.
