I need to sell a shotgun to fund the purchase of another one.
1918 A H Fox 12 gauge A Grade. (Would trade for a nice Win 101 20 gauge.)
What site have you used and had the best luck with? Least hassle and fees.
I'll consider any that have been successful for you.
Guns America, Gun International, etc.
Your help would be appreciated.

I've never sold any online other than to SIGTalk members here using the Classifieds section. But I owe almost my entire collection to GunBroker - with occasional help from Captain Morgan.

I’m basically in your camp GBIA except the red devil whispering in my ear is driven by a single malt or two (or six). I did sell four guns at different times locally on backpage when it was up. Unfortunately the site no longer exists after it was seized by the Feds because of its sex ads.

As soon as I get the photos transferred from phone to PC, I'll post it here first. It's a beautiful shotgun and deserves a loving home.

Gunbroker is good and fairly easy to use. Armslist is full of scammers, lowballers and tire kickers, at least in my neck of the woods. We have a state forum that I do a lot of buying and selling on. There are a couple in TX as well (I am from Austin originally) that have a similar setup. If you don't want to deal with shipping and gunbroker commissions, that is the way I would suggest.

You may check online for a "Fan Club"... https://www.foxcollectors.com/ although they don't have a "classifieds", and apparently their "rules" prevent sales on their forum...

12 gauge, 28", dual triggers. Old varnish stripped, microcrystalline wax finish. White Line recoil pad, otherwise original. Wood & metal 90% +.

I've shot it a few times, it's a very solid shotgun. Seems to handle modern loads, no problem. It's not a fragile old relic. Thousands of owners use them regularly.

I don't shoot it enough and I want an early Winchester 101 20 gauge that I'll shoot a lot. (Browning BSS 20 gauge if I could find one I could afford.)

The fit, finish and craftsmanship of the Fox is a thing of beauty. It's 100 years old and has very few flaws. Locks up tight and functions as built. The metal engraving is art. I imagine the first listing will be $1,800, OBO.

For an all original, 90-95%, $2,800-$3,200

I'll post in classifieds on Sig Talk first, then it looks like Texas Gun Trader will get my 2nd listing.
