So I was happy with the P320 compact slide. Not so happy with the LF P365 slide. A few lumpy spots because I stupidly got the tip of my rubber glove in the spray pattern. I'd say overall it was a success, but it know I can do better. I'm back to bare metal for round 2. After oven curing, the paint is tough as nails. Really impressed with the product, so much so I ordered 4 more colors today.
I'm debating installing the sights pre paint, taping off the back side of both sights so it stays black and going monochrome with the front and sides? I also have a couple of mags ends to do and I'm throwing in a trigger or two to paint in FDE too. These are all throw away parts, so this is really just a test.
While the slide is stripped and bare. I'm going to take a little time to clean the imperfections in the slide and pre fit the sights before I go for round 2.

I took the FDE paint off after getting the tip of my glove in the spray pattern. The photos I included show the spots.
Take 2 I went with a combo of gray under matt black.
Then distressed the whole mess after curing to show the lines of the slide cuts. It looks like exactly what I wanted.

I made sure I cleaned out the screw holes, removed the paint, polished the breech and cleared the area for the pins and extractor. No fitment issues so far.
This slide never functioned right, this is more of art project than an actual shooter. I've shot a 1000 rounds from this piece of ****, spent countless hours working on his junk and bought every spring, striker and extractor I could find. I can count on one hand the number of full mags I went through. Always 10-20% light primer strike failure every time you rack the slide. It looks cool, works like junk. From what I've found on the internet, the extractor pin hole is off center causing the failures.
Again, these were surplus parts I used as a test.
