I just searched Ebay. There are several sets of Beretta EU00017 slotted grip screw sets of 4 for $15-20. The pictures look just like my WG P226 screws.

Hey Willard. Glad to help. Does this mean that current Beretta grip screws will fit my WG P226? My screws have been man-handled and need replacing.

From the info, you provided, they should. I've got a Browning Hi-Power, and Beretta 96, and determined they have the same thread/pitch, you advised the Browning Hi-Power had the same pitch as your P226.

The Beretta screws have basic same diameter "head", and threaded shank length, as the screw listed in the chart, so they should.

By the same token, should someone want custom Hex or Torx head screws, those for a Beretta should give them options.

By the same token, if any of the screw "bushings" get stripped or cross threaded, the Beretta bushings may also be a viable option. Of course their thread diameter and pitch would need to be verified.

The "replacement" grip screws for older P226s does come up every so often, and normally goes unresolved I believe. Hopefully this will give the owners, options. I've also posted the information on a couple of the Facebook Sig groups.

Here is a "basic" on the "more current" screws, there are only 2 diameters/pitches, a big difference between some is the head diameter, and thickness. The P220/P225/P225A1/P230 and P232 all use 5mm diameter with a .8 Threads per mm, the P226/P227(w/inserts)/P228/P229/P239 use a 4mm diameter with a .7 Threads per mm. Even though measurements are given in fractional dimensions on the "display", remember Germany uses the metric system for measurements...

Edit - 7/3/20 with assistance from member MaverickDMD, it has been found that the early Sig Sauer Grip Screws, ase essentially the same as the Beretta M9/92/96 Grip Screws, at 3MM-.5 coarse pitch

I guess you have me stumped. Are you wanting to see about adapting P210 grips to a P320, such as the AXG?

For P210 general inquiries, I would suggest starting a thread in the P210 Section, comparing actions to improve a P210s SAO Hammer fired target trigger to a P320's Striker Action is difficult, due to the completely different design.

Appreciate it, but one of the reasons it had been given "Sticky" status, as it along with other pertinent information may be readily available for members. Anyone is encouraged to add any pertinent information for Sig Sauer models, in an appropriate thread.

By the same token, if several members believe a current thread, may be of assistance to the membership in general, contact one of the admins with the suggestion. As always, insure the information is accurate, and factual, not just opinion... !

old thread i know but all the good info here, same Q here. I have a P226 Elite w Rosewood grips.. i bought some Hogue Extreme screws, steel colored on the end but they didn't work with the Rosewood grips.

Gladly they did work with my P229, with Hogue grips.. they look nice

Here's a pic of the 3 screws I have. the smaller black screws w the red loctite on them came off my P229 Elite that came with stock grips. the same screws (red) also worked for the Hogue grips that are on it now but I went with the silver colored there.

The screw on the left, came out of the P226 w rosewood grips. Is there an easy button answer here for replacement screws for that gun? Is it the 1200312 I'm looking for?

As I mentioned in Post #24, use the P239 Grip Screws, for thicker wooden grips, just check to see if they protrude into the Magazine Well. Shorten them if necessary, so they don't interfere with the Magazine.

Well, this thread surfaces just in time for me.

I just won an eBay auction (again) for a pair of factory rosewood grip panels for my p228. They do not come with screws.

I'm hoping that my old screws work with the new wood grips.

Since Sigs introduction of the P226 X-Five there are new Torx Drive Grip Screws, that take a T-10 Driver. These are actually the shorter P229 length with a 0.112" long threaded shank.

P220 Grip Screws are 5mm diameter threads, while the P229 Grip Screws are only 4mm diameter threads.

Thank, you. I am to assume the early German frames of the P229 is identical to those made today? The gun is an AL 39 XXX gun, with E2 grips from the factory, and un fired 357 Sig. I wanted to have some G10 grips and screws waiting here for when it arrived. Thanks for the response!

Yes, but beware, since they, the P229 Grip Screws for .357/.40 only engage the frame with a couple of threads... that means they are easy to "strip" the Frames threads. That could be a reason for the E2 Grips being installed. I am not saying it is, but a possibility, so don't spend a lot on G-10s, until you can verify.

There is a thread in Gunsmithing, on the use of Heli-Coil inserts as well.

You may try to look for Grip-Screw-4, which is the Improved Torx, that Sig used.
