Bought some Gray Guns P-226 base pads. They are thinker and have a groove on side to help with mag changes. Everything I have got from GGI has been over the top. Until now, with the base pad on, the mags won't go all the way into the gun and lock in. I have the OEM mags and that is the pads I ordered. May save you all some heart break. Maybe you have had luck with yours.

P226 Mag Base Plate Replacement
I have never had a problem with my P226 mag base plates. I have a dozen mags, some from Sig (i.e., the Checkmate mags) and some from MecGar. The Checkmate mags have a "stepped" base plate, while the MecGar mags have a flat base plate. I prefer the flat base plates.
I found someone on ebay selling flat base plates for the bargain price of $22 for 13 of them. I put those flat base plates on the Checkmate mags, and now all my mags look and feel the same. If anyone is interested, here is the link:

Mainly to help protect my baseplates from getting dinged when changing during competition.
What's cool is that Beretta mag base plates fit on Sig mags (at least the 'Made In USA" ones), so you can also use the plastic Beretta bases.

You have to choose from the OEM Sig base plates or the Mec-gar plates. You might have the wrong ones......
