Hey mates.

Talking about reliability, performance and quality, what difference is there between the Sigs made in Germany and those made in Exeter?
Wich ones are better and why?

9 of my 11 SIG's are USA made, I have 2 x5's that are made in Germany. I have had ZERO issues with any of them. My 229 and all my 226's have not had a single malfunction of any kind except for an occasional bad bullet which has nothing to do with the gun. My 320x5 required a bit of a break in to shoot 115gr ammo reliably but now shoots 115 competition loads with no problem, have not had a malfunction of any kind in that gun through thousands of rounds. There is a lot of **** on the internet about SIG's quality, and they may have issues from time to time but it is a huge manufacturer with many products. It's going to happen and it gets blown waaaaay out of proportion in my mind. For me SIG's are as reliable and high quality as any other pistol I own. Plus, they do a great job of taking care of any issues from what I see and read on here.

Ty =)

They're equal to each other. You can't go wrong with either one.

Its Wulf (I svear I don no how yu peeples von da var):p

Once upon a time Sig Sauer of West Germany made a wonderful compact pistol named the P228

Then the world (AKA as the experts at the FBI) said the 40S&W was the new Uber caliber and of course Sig had to make one.
But the stamped slide p228 could not handle the pressure of the 40 so alas they decided to open a new factory in Merika to prevent being shut out of the gun market by the evil and most foul democrats (AKA Communist) and to make a beefed up P228 (sort of) with a stainless steel milled slide and just to up the anti they made a new caliber by necking down the 40 to use a 9MM bullet and named it after themselves the 357Sig.
It was an instant success.
Seeing how a milled stainless steel slide was superior in every way (but the lack of internal extractor) Sig decided to mount a SS slide onto a P228 frame in 9MM and the P229 9MM was born. It used all the same magazines as the P228
Then they decided to make a new magazine in 9MM to fit the P229/40/357 frame increasing capacity (No one bothered to tell them they could make a 15 round flush fit and not bother upsetting the apple cart but no one ever said Germans were smart. If they were smart enough to figure out the mag thing they would have been smart enough to win both world wars but I digress)

So now the P229 used the 40 frame and with new bigger mags production could be simplified and every one would be happy except all the people who still love the P228 and refuse to condescend to the fang dangled contraption known as the P229-1 made by up start whippersnappers in Merika.

This is the official version but I confess to editing it just a bit:bbq::bbq:
Sorry Wulf lol
Nice feedback, ty again =)
