I cannot tell you for sure how many Garrett Industries Silent Thunder (Both Inside Waist Band and Outside Waist Band) I have but generally I buy one for each handgun I have so I'm guessing the count would at least be in the high teens to low twenties. To me an excellent product and excellent customer service.

Love my Garrett Holsters

I have 3 OWB Garrett Holsters, one for each of my SIGs. While I cannot comment on IWB holsters, I can say that mine are fantastic. Great folks. They ship your order about in 2 weeks or so. The quality is great.

Everyone will make their own choice, but I like the idea of leather against my pistol. So the kydex outer holds the shape for the gun, and the leather (in my opinion) protects the pistol finish.

KUDOs to Garrett Holsters! I recently got an MK25 and I ordered a Silent Thunder OWB for it. I put "P226" in "Firearm Model" field in my order, because I did not know the MK25 is a P226 model with a slightly different shape.

Garrett was helpful when I emailed them. Once we figured out that MK25 is slightly different, they told me to send my holster back to be reshaped for the MK25. No charge, other than $8 for return postage. That is what I call Customer Service!

So, great products and great service. I will buy from them again.

I have two Silent Thunders. One is for my P239 and the other for my P225A-1. The GI holsters are one of only two holsters I carry for EDC. The clip makes for easy off and on, so I use the GIs when I am only carrying for a couple hours or a quick run out of the house. I have carried for longer periods also and had no problems.

I have yet to hear a derogatory remark on any of their products .. I wanted a holster with a double thick leather back and after contacting the owner and asking him if I could have it made .. he made a special holster in minimal time for me and was very please with the end product !!!

1st place you should look for a holster after acquiring a new pistol !!

I bought a garrett hybrid ST Fusion a few years back and it carrys well is reasonably adjustable BUT its NOT worth a darn if you practice draw and fire drills .. The rear side leather is to thin and soft and will fold inward and make reholstering a real issue . You also can do better than garrets leather belt loops . Best clips out there are Comp-Tac C-Clips .

I have used a Comp-Tac Neutral for 14 years with the same set of clips and have had no issues with it . Also easy to change Kydex body for another handgun if needed . I used a kahr body for a 1911 for many years and now a P250c body for a p320c as not many holsters around 2.8 years ago and it works well for my wifes m&p core or a glock 19 .

I have a Silent Thunder for my 938. This model has the OWB metal clip. I wanted it primarily for non-summer use when I can keep it concealed under a jacket or full winter parka. And grab it quick for last minute errands, etc.

I have to say that the leather lining makes the draw a dream. I have some kydex holsters that are pretty slick, but this leather lining adds an element of "smooth" that just can't be described. You have to buy one and find out.

Was looking into the Silent Thunder SLIM for a P320, but never went through with it.

Has anyone used GI holsters that has experience with kydex only as well? I ended up with a kydex for my carry pistol and surprisingly it hasn't shown any wear, which was the concern and appeal of the leather lined kydex for me.
