Finally made me happy with the deal I was getting. New M11-A1 for 644 plus tax. The manufacture date was from 2013 but brand new with no molesting marks, just dry.

From my personal experience I shopped at gander mountain when I was a newbie when it came to firearms. I really didn't know what the best prices a certain gun could be had for and gander had one of the larger selections where I lived at the time. I'd imagine that I was the market their gun dept was suited for with their pricing. They probably offered financing of some sort too whereas a small gun store usually does not

To the op. Nice buy on the m11-a1. I'm tempted to give my nearest gander mtn (1.5 hours drive) a call to see what they still have in stock.

I got a good deal once at GM, back when they were expanding into our area. Grand Opening sale, got a special invitation for 20% off any one item, guns included. They carried an exclusive line of Browning Buckmarks and my daughter could shoot the BM better than any other 22 pistol so I bought her one for Christmas at GM. Drove across town, got there 5min before they unlocked, and walked out with a pistol that was better and $120 less than my LGS could do. Most of their stuff was outrageously overpriced IMHO.

The one I stop (stopped) at for years had a few odd pistols last week, but nothing of interest to me. I did get the two mec-gar 229-1 15 round mags I mentioned on another post.

Hated to see that one close - all the employees were sandbox vets. I think it will officially be gone this Friday. Another I know of has already locked the doors.

First time I went in there and saw the size of the store I thought man i bet the prices are gonna be great. Boy was I wrong, all my little gun shops in town have lower prices. Hell even with ganders going out of business sale theyre prices still arent as good. I dont get it, theyre huge they can buy in quanitiy, why are they so overpriced? That is a great deal you got there. Hell i paid more for my little 938 (at gander) then you did for that M11. Some guns they have good deals, others are just way overpriced.

The GM in my area, at Kingston NY is having their going out of business sale until the end of July. I just heard about their closing, and went to store when I was in area. 'Discounts' were mainly on clothing and camping equip. Ammo was only 20% off list, which wasn't much of a deal. I tried to find Sig 357, but none on shelf. The same with all guns, 20%. I picked up a set of dies for 40SW, but after checking ebay, I wish I had waited. It wasn't a terrible deal, but I could have done better on ebay, if I had waited.

Only great deal I ever got there was on an Ares SCR last year. I did note that they seemed to not staff gun dept very well. Most times there were at best one or two clerks, and you usually had a long wait to get to one.

Gander also made me very happy yesterday. Called them to see the prices on g19 and a m&p 9c and they only wanted 459 for a gen 4 g19 and 350 for a m&p 9c. Needles to say I bought both. I'm out of town about 3hrs away and I told me wife we need to drive back there's only one glock left. She wasn't as enthusiastic about it as I was but she came up with the great idea to have my father in law go grab them for us. He also picked up a shield for her. I have one myself so now we have two. Those prices were amazing though most places I see want close to 600 for a g19 even used and the 9c is anywhere from 410-500. So I'd say I did pretty well. Plus with the shield and the 9c you get 2 free mags 2 boxes is hornaday critical defense ammo, and a mag loader. So we got 4 boxes of ammo coming, 2 mags and 2 mag loaders. I'm pretty excited

I picked up an M11-A1 at GM aswell, but it was $712. I'm up here in Cleveland :wavey:

A GM here had 10 of them, yes 10. I figured their prices would drop from 25% to 30% before they sold out of them, but I got to look at 4-5 of them before I saw one I liked.

There were two display models, and one that was missing a damn mag. The fourth one was still wrapped in plastic, 2013 model as well.

Shot it for the first time two days ago, and the firing pin is striking off-center. I asked sig about this and they said it was normal, but it still bothers me because they are all about "precision" and this is my only handgun that doesn't strike dead-center.
