Good question as there are so many of us trying to figure out the same or similar.
And the technology continues to zoom. Seemingly more and better options in the blink of an eye.

You said budget correct? Best sight on a budget correct? It’s an Sig and you can find it for around $110 bucks and I’m talking from experience having used it on my AR platform on many length pistols and a 2020 PSA built 300 blackout. Long battery life, easy to change battery, shake and wake technology, etc and you can purchase a lower mount so it’s not so high on your build. My PSA 8.5” 300 blackout w/suppressor and with blast defector.

I do like R5s. I have the XDR on my MCX right now. I was just trying to go with something different. I even thought about getting a pistol reflex sight and getting a mounting plate that has a 1913 rail adapter

 

Vortex Venom. $200 range. Optics Planet has the 6 MOA version for $200 and the 3 MOA for $250. If you want the 3 MOA I bet you could shop around and get one somewhere for closer to $200.
