I recently bought a P365 as a pocket pistol as a carry and was wondering what a good holster would be that stays in your pocket when pulled, any comments are welcome.

never tried the Alabama holster only because I tried the vedder pocket locker first and was satisfied , the curve and the thumb extension option makes it more consistent in drawing as you push off with thumb before extracting from pocket , also the curve diminishes printing . the newer models also have adjustable retention as well.. I will say that the 365 pushes the limit to pocket carry in most regular pockets .. but doable..

Are we discussing pocket holsters for a P365 or pocket holsters in general? This gets my all around vote... it disappears.

I have been using Custom Concealed Carry Holsters & Products | AHolster Co | Since 2005 . I'm very happy with them. I like Kydex with the no safety P365, I have a fear that the cloth type material on some holsters will soften over time an allow the trigger to depress, the Kydex eases my OCD. It also protects the mag release and the rear sight. Has a nice hook to catch the pocket upon retrieval.

I do not use a pocket holster because I do not have any guns that I wish to carry in my pocket.
However, as a maker of leather holsters, I did make one just to expand my knowledge about them.
I can immediately see a couple of flaws in the design of most pocket holsters.

Two Things...

Any hard-angle molding that reveals the contour of the gun should be avoided.
Also, any molded-in retention works against keeping the holster in the pocket on a draw. A pocket holster should not have any retention.

A thumb "push-off" is very important. Some gadget that your thumb can engage and can be used to push-off the holster as it is drawn.

I see a leather holster as being less wearing on one's pocket (and gun), more comfortable than a plastic holster and plenty of stiffness for protection of the trigger.

Alabama holsters have a thumb push off which I do use.

Well you made a very good choice on your first move.... (365 for pocket carry).....
I often carry mine in an Uncle Mikes felt-no issues. Sometimes in a kydex IWB, and even in a leather OWB with a 12 round mag. ( gives me a full hand grip :giggle: )

That is a versatile gun...... (y)

When pocket carried, My P365 380 and 2 other 9mm EDC's ride in a DeSantis Nemesis or Super Fly holster. Never had a problem with them, conceals well, and like the stiffness of the material to protect the trigger as well as the retention of the holster in the pocket on the draw. An occasional wipe down with a slightly damp cloth, then letting it dry, restores the stickiness of the holster in my pocket. Just my experience. YMMV.
