I wish SIG would come out with a .22 LR conversion kit for the 365 or better yet a 365-22. My 938-22 and 226-22 are lonely.

I can see that happening at some point but probably not for a while? The 365 is still sorta new. I think it took them a while to produce a 22lr version of the P226 too?

That said, with ammo prices being what they are (and will probably remain for a while if not permanently) I think manufactures are going to have to step up their 22LR offerings.

The P365 striker cocks as the slide is being closed by the recoil spring. This requires a somewhat stout recoil spring that has to provide enough force to cock the striker, strip the next round and put the slide into battery. This would probably prevent reliable operation for a low powered .22

I was fortunate to have a very lengthy conversation with someone who was privy to the upcoming projects. A conversion for the 320 in 22lr is in the works. The 365 was mentioned. It all depends on if they get it to work reliably. Like the kits for the Classic series, they were going to be produced inhouse. It would be an interesting item. I'm surprised that they didn't bring back the conversions for the P210. Conversion kits for the original versions are going for very big money. A good friend has one from his days at the company and it's worth almost what his 210 would go for these days.

Not a 22 kit for my P365's, but perhaps an even better solution, especially considering it could be a long, long wait.
When I got my Holosun 407K for the P365-X, I took off the Romeo Zero, and it was sitting in a drawer begging for a host.
My LGS sent me a message..... they had a Taurus TX-22 Competition in stock. A couple hours later I had the R-Zero mounted, and testing different 22LR HV ammo with it at the range.
I like that it 'feels' and shoots like a compact pistol, and I've been pleasantly surprised at how well it cycles.

The only problem....it comes with (3) 16 round mags so you can go through several boxes in no time. :ROFLMAO:

Tusser Said: "Been eyeballing those, how’s the trigger?"

It's no bulls-eye single-action Ruger MK, Colt Woodsman, Buckmark or Smith, but from the perspective of a practice defensive pistol, it's really not bad IMHO.
Although there's a lot of free take-up in the trigger, the break is crisp and reset short. And, like my P365's, P229, and CZ's; it doesn't have a (darn) dingus!
I've been practicing double-taps on multiple targets with reloads, and I'm feeling good about the whole package. Only a month old and 1,500 rounds already. Glad it's not 9mm ammo cost.
I hear it's doing surprisingly well in steel challenge against guns way more expensive.:rifle:

I have a M&P 22 Compact that I love. Much better than the Glock 44 I had before. Fits my hand better and even though its smaller it feels more like a real firearm. The Glock always felt like a toy.
Of my semiautos, I like the M&P Compact over the Glock 44 too! By far my favorite is the Volquartsen followed by theTaurus TX22 Competition. My beater is a Ruger 22/45 Lite that rides in my rangebag with a 3” S&W 63-5. So many options out there, but I really like 22 versions of 9mm pistols I shoot/carry.

Double thumbs up on a P365 in .22LR, but a threaded barrel option would be a must have for me. I routinely shoot steel with a suppressed TX-22 in my sorta-rural location, but I have to avoid centerfires for fear of antagonizing deer, turkeys, and neighbor’s wives. Would be great if I could drop a threaded kit into my spare carry gun. Wouldn’t take long for range fee and ammo cost savings to pay for it.

I'd mentioned this in the past, and it would be cool. Got a used SR22 just recently to fill the 22LR pistol gap. The TX 22 looks to be a solid performer, and the G44 doesn't strike my fancy. A P365 22 or kit would rock. Kit would make more sense, as you could put it on any of the grip frames. They can barely keep up, though, so not anytime soon I bet.

Now that the P365-380 is finally out.....the next logical offering from SIG would be a P365 380 Conversion Kit.Package the Optic-Ready slide assembly, barrel, RSA, and 380 Mag they're already making!
The 380 uses the same 9mm lower frame, FCU and excellent trigger (a shortcoming on many 22LR kits can be a different trigger). So swapping over would literally take only seconds.

Hopefully; the success of the 380; combined with the millions of P365's already out there, will encourage SIG to also make a P-365 22LR kit. What you'd save in ammo cost could pay for the 22LR kit in no time!
But, considering how long it took SIG to do the P365-380.....I wouldn't hold your breath.
