Check this out. Sig 1911 X-Carry Stainless. 45ACP. They just were released. I was able to score one at a good price. I ordered it on Monday night (Memorial Day). Picked it up today. Amazing how fast it shipped.
All cleaned up and ready to go. Cleaned up beautifully. Very nice fit and finish.
After a clean and lube I did a fair share of dry firing and then checked the trigger pull (5 pull averages).
Wheeler gauge: 3lbs. 2 oz.
Lyman gauge: 2lbs. 14.7 oz.
There is a bit of take up in the trigger but a very crisp break. I feel good about it basically “out of the box”, but we’ll see how it goes after putting some rounds down the pipe.
It’s basically a twin to the Nitron (black) model that I bought at the Sig Experience Center last fall. If the stainless model meets my expectations I think I’ll put a Vortex Defender on the black model.
