I've decided to dump one of my 45's. Either the Sig 220 or the S&W 645 has to go. Which would you get rid of and why? The Sig is stainless but not Elite series. Both 8 rounds, single and double action. Sig is newer but neither fired much.

I agree with the person that posted to keep both if you can since the S&W is out of production. If you really had to choose, the 220 is the better firearm hands down. Yeah, you can always get another but you stuck with an inferior 45.
It's partially the money and now that I'm old I'm trying to thin the herd. I only keep the Glock because of the extra capacity. But I don't need 2 stainless 45's with double action. Those who love Smith's door stop heavy guns say keep the 645, but the machining is rough. The Sig is W German frame but it's really hard to rack the slide, it's so stiff. I like 'em both but they are too heavy and bulky to carry every day, and only 9 rounds not worth it.
The Question should probably be which one do you shoot better or which one do you like better? I would probably keep the 220 or sell them both and buy a custom 1911.
