My 9mm P320 Compact came with 8 & 8, but I had to replace the front with a 6 because it was printing too high with the 8.

So is the 6 front sight taller than the 8?

My 320 compact came with #8 Sig night sights both front and rear. It shoots almost three inches high at 10 yards from a solid bench rest. At that distance there is so little difference between 115 and 124 grain groups as to be insignificant.

It is back at Sig now and hopefully they will know what sight combination will work. I got mine about the beginning of this year but it was built in April 2015.

So is the 6 front sight taller than the 8?
Rear Sight Heights:

#4 = 5.24mm (0.21 inches)
#5 = 5.52mm (0.22 inches)
#6 = 5.80mm (0.23 inches)
#7 = 6.07mm (0.24 inches)
#8 = 6.35mm (0.25 inches)
#9 = 6.62mm (0.26 inches)
#10 = 6.90mm (0.27 inches)

Front Sight Heights:

#5 = 6.01mm (0.235 inches)
#6 = 5.88mm (0.230 inches)
#7 = 5.74mm (0.225 inches)
#8 = 5.60mm (0.220 inches)
#9 = 5.46mm (0.215 inches)
#10 = 5.32mm (0.210 inches)

A higher rear sight number (taller) will raise the point of impact,

A smaller front sight number (taller) will lower the point of impact.

Thank you.

I have a #6 front and #8 rear on a build date Feb 2016 compact 9mm.
Shoots about an inch low so I have to raise front sight about half
a dot and then I'm dead on. Like many others I plan on a set of
the X-ray3 sights. If curlysir's charts are correct will the #8 smaller front height correct my problem?

I have an 8 front, 8 rear with a 9mm Compact. Unsure of the manufacture date of the slide, but my FCU has the old slide catch apparently, if that helps. Purchased in September of 2015.

Jeebuz these sights are all over the place. I have seen no clear consensus among any caliber/size variant. It appears that Sig is just slapping on whatever sights they have on hand at any given moment.

I admit that I am still learning about the P320 Compact. Based on what I understand from this thread the same gun can come with different sight combinations. Why?

#8 front is the correct sight for the 9mm P320 SC.

Maybe they test fire and go with which one prints better or something?

320C 9mm- dated 12/31/15, front sight 6, rear 8. I just bought it new a few weeks ago and I've only shot it offhand so far and I seem to be little high with it. Next time out I'll be bench testing it to check sight regulation.

Sig X-Rays are up for sale at the Sig Store. The 8/8 set is described as designed for 9mm and 357 Sig, while the 6/8 set is for the 40 S&W and 45 ACP.
