I still have and love my Alien gear holsters, used them all the time. However, the don't have optic cuts. If not running red dots, they are good.
I'm an Alien Gear fan as well.
I took a Dremel tool to my 226 holster to make a cut for the Romeo dot, works fine...

Also, I spoke to a representative from AG about the lack of optic ready holster, when I told him what I had done, I said I guess this voids the warranty.

His reply No it does not....

What model and why...

I have Alien Gear Tuck holsters for my P220 \ 226 \229, and Shape Shifter for my P938.
I also have a Desantis Speed Scabbard, and Alessi Talon for the first three.

Talon is a strong favorite...
Comfortable and conceals well on my 6'4", 185 lb body...

'Askins Avenger'-style:

I have tried many. I find them to all be so close to one another in feel that you will soon realize you just have to get used to ccw. Materials and craftsmanship range from holster to holster, and you’ll pay for better craftsmanship. But to give a nod, I have been happy with the slimness and simplicity of PJ kydex holsters that they are first my go to now for any new carry gun that I pick up.

I also use DeSantis 'Speed Scabbards' and I just bought 2 of the Askin style (Blackhawk brand?), that looks exactly like the one pictured above for $23 each (Too good to pass up).
The brown holster is indeed a Blackhawk. It is their 'Compact Askins', made in Italy. It is for the S&W M&P auto, but fits other autos, like my Walther P5, as well as my SIG P239 very well. Try finding holsters for THOSE two! For $14,99 off ebay, I couldn't resist.

The brown holster in my pic is a Blackhawk 'Compact Askins'. I paid $14.99 each for 2 of them a couple of years ago on ebay. They are/were made in Italy. Mine are for the S&W line of M&P autos, but fit several others. They fit my Walther P5 and SIG P239 especially well. Try finding holsters for THOSE today.

I bought mine on Amazon, Same holster. I've always been kind of a stickler on choosing Dimensionally similar pistols (hand fitment), that also 'FIT' the same holsters. Just how I roll.

In the winter time when I'm feeling froggy, my 1911 comes out and the Bravo Concealment OWB plays very nicely with it. Very close to body and keeps that massive 1911 grip nice and tucked twoards the body (for me anyways)

I’ve got enough boxes of holsters to open a store. That said, I’ve been carrying in Milt Sparks leather since 1977.

Being that I'm new to concealed carry, I only own two holsters: a Fierce Defender Kydex holster with a Clinger cushion for my CZ (uncomfortable - hate it), and a Hidden Hybrid holster for my X-MACRO (comfortable - close to loving it).

My only choice for CC is Crossbreed Super Tuck (for full size) and Super Tuck Mini (for my P365)... both upgraded to metal clips. The Super Tuck is IWB with Kydex outer shell and leather inner panel, and features adjustable cant. Try it, you'll love it!

Alien gear shells can be modified easily with a dremel. Alien will actually replace the shell if you screw up. I sanded down the front edge for my wife’s Glock once we put an optic on it. It’s pretty easy to do.

TacRig AIWB and OWB. I bought it because it fits my aftermarket 365 grip module and it's modular meaning you can swap the kydex shell on the backer to accomodate different guns. The shells can have differnt backers, you can get a chest rig, OWB/IWB, backpack insert, double tape mounted to a hard surface etc etc....
