Vedder Lighttuck?

I have a no name iwb kydex holster that I use for my P365 and like it ok. It is comfortable and gets the job done, but I always read about how popular the Vedder Lighttuck is and how people say it is perfect. My question, is the Vedder worth it? $70 for a kydex iwb is quite a bit compared to many other options out there. What makes it so much better than the competition?

I have 2 and they work great. Wait for the sales. Last one I bought was 15% off and I think it was $55 or so. The belt clip is adjustable and very flat. I prefer the tuckable clips to any over the belt clips.

Edit: I also have a T1C Xiphos holster, which has a better claw. But with having options for tuckable and over the belt clips, the profile of the holster isn't as sleek as the Vedder.

co-sign above. Except for the “fat guy” comment.

Vedder LightTuck with claw stays on the dresser for both my P365XL and P320 XCompact when I am IWB. All the other IWB holsters I tried are in the “holster purgatory” bin….

I was lucky enough to try Vedder light tuck as my second company to try (so I only have 1 unused holster).
The quality difference is astounding. There is no resistance inserting the pistol into the holster until you reach the point of the retention, which is a simple click. Retention is adjustable too. There’s no scraping noises when inserting/retrieving your pistol. 3 years in on my xds9 mod2, and there is no visible holster wear on it, or any of my other pistols.
Adjustable ride height and cant.
I own 5 light tucks now, and whenever I buy a new pistol I look to Vedder, and I will usually wait for a sale. (Get on their e-mail list so you can be notified of sales)
I ordered a claw attachment for each holster and put them on myself, but ended up taking them back off. Just like ZombieSlug mentioned, they aren’t very helpful if you have a little extra around the waist.
Are there better options around? Maybe, but I am very happy with Vedder, and too cheap to try what might be a waste of money on something else.
Good luck with your decision.

I bought a lighttuck for my P238. It's ok, but I wanted to try a "sticky" IWB holster from Elitesurvival and it's pretty comfortable and easy to draw from. My wife loves hers. I also got one for my P365 but haven't tried it yet... still using an OWB Desantis at the moment. My 238 and 365 are so close in size I don't see it being a problem. Here's a link for the Elite:

Only you can decide if they are worth the money you would spend. I have several and have recommended them to others. However, if you are happy with the holster you have (e.g., quality clip, comfort, secure pistol fit, adjustable for rise and cant, tuckable), why buy another holster just because others like it?

I've owned several LightTuck holsters over the years (I have 4 at the moment), after trying multiple other brands. They're thin, light, strong and adjustable for both cant and ride height. The metal clip is a bit harder to deal with than the kydex clips that most holsters have, but much thinner and doesn't print. My only beef with them is that they don't make one for my SCCY CPX-3.

Since this is a SIG forum, here are a couple of pictures of my P290RS in a LightTuck.

I have a Vedder Light tuck, Kusiak, and Garretts Silent Thunder. If I had to choose only one it would be hands down the Vedder LightTuck. It is by far the most adjustable holster of the three for both cant and ride height. The fit and finish are perfect and after having the usual box of holsters, I found the more costly ones are usually that way for a reason.
I cannot recommend the Vedder product enough. I do use the other two products for special purposes but the Vedder product would do the same thing just as well. I do recommend spending a bit more for the "claw" It does work as advertised.

This will be my first holster and have been doing a-lot of reading trying to make a good decision. I was looking at purchasing the Garretts Silent Thunder but sounds like the Vedder Light tuck might be worth looking at. Do you get much holster wear with the Vedder? That was one of the main reasons i was considering the Garretts for my P365. Also can you recommend a good belt as well.

Vedder and Tulster

Received my Tulster holsters for my P365 and P365XL along with the optional SideKick (claw) yesterday - they shipped the day I ordered them online. Very impressed with the fit and finish, and how well they are made. Between my existing Vedders with the Claw and Tulster with the SideKick I give the edge to the Vedder for being adjustable for height and cant, and to the Tulster for being a bit lower profile on my belt and the Sidekick vs the Claw.

Either way I have two excellent holsters for each pistol, and look forward to wearing both.

Have a Vedder LightTuck for my P30 and am very pleased with it and the quality
I have the claw but have also tried it with the claw removed.
Zero signs of holster wear to date.

I like it either way. Of course it lays flatter to the body with the claw but not bad without it either.
Fit and retention is perfect and the latter adjustable.
Going for a ProDraw next later this week.
