Glocks are by and large one of the ugliest guns I've ever looked at. That in itself is a problem and then there is the Glock ego that is notorious. I have a sig 45 cal P250 that most people don't care for because it's DA only. I happen to like DA. Nice thing about it is it's modular and I have a 9 mm slide for it as well. After shooting multiple style weapons for 53 years I've come to one certian conclusion ... to each his own. The one thing I cannot tolerate is people that have egos the size of a football field because their gun is the only gun.

Years ago people hated makarovs and takarovs, now they're collector's items. People hated the Nagant, the m14, the Polytech M14, I can go on and on with a list of guns that everybody hated and now everyone's trying to get their hands on one such as the SKS. People's tastes change people's perceptions change. I for one have them all and got them at a time when they didn't cost collector dollars.;)(y)
I have to agree they are far from a good looking pistol, personally I own a Glock 41 that's the 45 of the 5-in barrel, and it's nickname is big and ugly. However it is one of the most accurate and reliable pistols I've ever owned 25 yard centers with tiny groups with the factory sights. How does it look at comparison to my 2p229s and my compact 45 autos not in the same class. It is a tool as are the others but it's makes no pretense to be attractive. It is what it is a working pistol that will probably never let you down. But I also feel the same way about my p229s but they are much more attractive.

This guy is weird. Sometimes I love his videos other times I just don’t get it. He loves super high-end stuff like custom Atlas 2011’s but then also seems to love trailer trash Turkish garbage like Canik. His longstanding hate for Sig casts a shadow of a doubt in all his opinions in my book, and he often seems unprepared to makes his videos (doesn’t know basic facts about the guns he’s reviewing). He puts a ton of content out there and is undeniably a great shot with a pistol but I can’t help but not fully buy in to his opinions.

Regarding Canik: my girlfriend has a tfs elite 9mm. It's a dang nail driver that impresses the spit out of me. Only one I've shot, like most mfg's, some are trashy looking.

He loves the P365 and the spec comp was his EDC for a long time. He likes most of the sigs he shoots just not the p320.
Agreed. Aside from P365 he called the P226 Legion SAO a nearly perfect handgun.

Shot a 365 the other day. Jammed three times, wasn't my grip. Glock 43x runs all day. Nice looking gun too.
Welcome to the Forum. Nice first post.

I have to disagree about Glocks being the ugliest guns. Nothing is uglier than a High Point. Just saying.

I don't know if any of you watch the Honest Outlaw on YouTube but he gives some of the best and probably most honest reviews out there. If he loves it he'll tell you and if he hates it he'll also tell you.

Recently he came out with a video in which he tells what he thinks are the 10 most unreliable firearms, and it caught me by surprise but he put the Sig P320 as #9 on the list. The list goes from 10-1 with 10 being the best firearm on the list of unreliable firearms and 1 being the worst of the unreliable firearms. So at least the P320 wasn't the worst, but still.

He bases his assessment on test reviews that he is done himself and also other information available elsewhere on the internet. Obviously he's going to **** off a lot of Sig P320 fans, but like I said, he tells it like he sees it. He doesn't hold back and he also doesn't suck up to manufacturers by giving them a good review if they don't earn it. So read 'em and weep.

My 250c in .45 is my number 2 carry. I absolutely love that thing. Any idea if it can be milled for a red dot? I have read, a place or two, that there is insufficient metal atop the slide. Uncertain if that is legit or not.

He's a good youtube shooter. For whatever reason, he can never shot P320 well, regardless of the configuration. I feel this feeds into his non-favorable attitude towards P320 and makes matter worse. I still enjoy his vids. I simply tune out whenever he talks about P320.
Yeah but here's the problem now. This is something the guys on Daily Wire talk about a lot. Let's say you're an expert on a particular subjects. Guns for example.

You're reading the paper, some articles about local crime, road construction, whatever. You assume everything you just read was true. Now you read an article about how 9mm hollow point blow your lungs clear out of your body. You recognize that the article is complete and unmitigated BS and the author has no idea what he's talking about. Then you read another article in the paper talking about how some local official has been embezzling funds, and you go right back to taking everything at face value.

Now, here's the problem. It isn't just the gun subject the author knows nothing about. If he'll BS his way through a gun article, you now have to assume he has that same level of credibility in everything he writes. That is to say, none.

If you just tune out this guy when he talks about the P320, you shouldn't put any stock in any other reviews from him either.

I have to agree. Tastes change as you continue to shoot and learn more.
I also agree that Glock is a time proven reliable firearm but is the ugliest gun I have ever seen.

I agree, some people get to caught up in the "manual of arms" as long as you can accurately shoot what you carry, I don't see any problem with it 😉
I agree as well and carry about like you describe. I have a Dan Wesson, Specialist 45ACP I love but it’s heavy with any holster, I sometimes carry everything from P365SAS; P365XL; P2022; P226 Legion (also heavy); M11a1/P229 good weight for my taste, M&P 2.0 .40 cal; Kimber Ultra Carry II 3” a real favorite; sometimes even a Kimber 357 DASA 2”; and I have the P320 Compact in 9mm/.40 Cal/357 Sig as well as the same in Compact although I haven’t carried them yet. Interestingly, my newest and current favorite is a CZ 75 D PCR Compact aluminum frame, very impressive handgun. I say carry what you’re comfortable with, what you practice with, and what you feel safe with and respect them all. I also frequently pocket carry an Sig P228 and sometimes a P938. I also own a Colt Python 4.25“ barrel I thin it is but currently use it only at the range. I try not to get stuck on any particular brand I go with what I like, although admittedly I started with Sig and my first pistol was the Sig P365XL. Now my favorite overall Sig Carry pistol right now is the M11a1/P229 in sizes and weight. Nevertheless, that’s highly subject to change over time and I’m currently finding myself very interested in the HK 45 USP Compact and the new S&W 2.0 10mm anyway it’s an adventure in my view.

USPC 45 is one of my main carry pistols! Mine is V7 LEM. Great pistol. Highly recommend.
