Nothing like getting a beautiful new gun for 2 Big Ones and you can't even disassemble the slide for cleaning off the shipping grease and lubing the gun etc. before your first Shoot.
Directions read with the P210 unloaded, mag dropped, safety lever in in the diagram looks in the "up" position, you're told to pull the side back
5 millimeters while pressing the nub for the slide release lever which is on the right side of the gun. When the slide-stop lever is pushed out on the left side, then just pull it all the way out clear of the gun.
Then you just move the slide forward and off rails (I assume "forward" but I never got that far).
No matter what I can't push that nub in, won't budge at all, meaning going in towards the left.
5 millimeters means less than 1/4", about half as much I believe, i.e. a "hair" pull back on the slide.
Anyone know what the problem might be? Or is it me? But that nub is like it's welded in place.
( NOTE: All directions assume perspective of the gun held in hand by the hilt, barrel pointing forward, away from shooter).
Thanks for any help. I'm about to get out the air-hammer and explosives.
