Basically everythign you need to build civilain version of the military model except the FCU.
take any P320 and convert it but not really a cal-exchange as most 320's are 9mm.
Pretty pricey also I think. I paid 649.00 I think for my contract overrun guns complete.

I’m guessing these kits are for restricted states. ?
In most “free” states 320s are sold without safeties and the only 320 that you can buy with a safety is the M17/M18 so you would already own one of them complete. Also for $75-$100 more you can buy the whole gun.
(I’ve seen M17s new as low as $589). And do you get the patch and fancy rubber band?

It's actually puzzling to me.

To my knowledge, Sig use to offer the P320 in models that had manual safeties. However, in the more recent years, it seems the only models equipped with a MS, were those offered for restricted States, as you noted.

However, most restricted States only allow 10-round magazines; and these kits come with full-capacity magazines.

So why the big push to offer these kits, if there is not much of a market? Maybe there are more P320's out there with MS's than we think.

Maybe they are trying to market them toward owners of the M17 or M18? All you need to do is swap your FCU and you can experience owning both. But at a crazy high price. 😳
Sig is probably also sitting on a lot of M18 slides. Hence the $600 Tattoo slide.

I think they're targeted towards people who want something close to the USGI surplus or so-called 'contract overrun' pistols, but couldn't get one because because of cost or availability, and also to people who might want cage code marked spares for surplus and overrun pistols. The overrun pistols are reasonably priced and available right now, but it wasn't that long ago that auctions regularly hit outrageous levels on Gunbroker and Rock Island.

I'm not defending SIG's prices, but none of their exchange kits are cheap when compared with the cost of a new pistol. But even at the list price, they're cheaper than buying new parts separately (if available, which military parts haven't been). The military kits are listed for the same price as the older P320 M17 and P320 M18 exchange kits, which don't have cage code markings and aren't cut for the Romeo-M17 optic.

M17 CONVERSION KIT (9MM)
M18 CONVERSION KIT (9MM)

I'd guess they'll sell a few now, and more during black Friday or after Christmas sales. Then at some point they'll no longer be available, and they'll be on the list of things which people didn't get back in the good old days. ;)

(And before anyone asks - no I don't work for SIG nor do I plan on buying one. I just think they're a good deal for the right audience.)

I remember when Cal-X kits first came out they were well under $400. I bought a Fullsize and subcompact. That was back in 2020. The attraction then was due to the fact no 320's were on the CA roster. Once you were able to get one, it was waaayyy cheaper to get a CAL-X kit than another 320. Today, the M18 is on the roster and retails for about $650.

As Jim points out, these kits have the cage codes on the slide and barrel so they are closer to issue M17/M18s. I suppose if you have a commemorative, overrun, or maybe even a surplus, you could use one of these to actually shoot and not risk wearing out or damaging the originals while maintaining "authenticity".

They do? The pics I see on Sig's website show they have retail P320 "M17/18" rollmarks.

Edit: the pics in the links in the first post show USGI rollmarks. The pics in Jim's links in post #8 show retail P320.
