Romeo 1 on X-carry: iron sight solution anyone?

I just installed a new Romeo-1 on one of my two X-Carry pistols and found no pressing need for changing the irons- the front sight is usable with the slot in the Romeo sight.

It's a lower 1/4 co-witness, and not an "ideal" sight picture, but certainly it will do in a pinch.

I still prefer irons on general principle, but I simply can't argue with the results with the red dot. "It's like cheating" is a quote that is pretty much spot on.
I see, i get what you mean, you just have to work around the existing xcarry stock front sight with the notch of the r1, it wont be a perfect 1/3 co witness but can mitigate it or adjust a bit higher i suppose if you really need to use the sights instead of the red dot during and emergency black out of the r1.....

You can also go to Dawson’s website and buy the appropriate height of front sight. In fact, give them a call and ask them for the X5 front sight since they supplied the X5 sight to Sig anyway.

Don’t ask Sig’s CS, they might not have a clue.
I did email Dave Dawson. The front sight supplied is the one that matches to the iron sight that comes with the gun. There is no standard front sight for pairing with the Romeo. Dawson offers 12 different heights for the P320...which is the same sight that the x series takes. Dave didn't want to suggest a certain height as all shooters prefer different things. I will be getting one from him once I can sort out the proper height.

Hi there, any news on this, how did it went with dawsons front sight? According to my research the x5 dawson front optic sight is around .235”, looking at dawsons website think they only have .200” the tallest not sure though...tryin to look at trijicons some of their front sights around .215” only but think would suffice already coz for me the x5’s dawson stock front sight find it to be a bit tall...
