Over the past couple weeks I happened to visit three separate Walmart stores in my area looking for CCI Mini-mag .22lr ammo. The display cases in all three were completely devoid of everything except a small selection of shotgun ammo. I found a clerk behind the counter at the last store and asked if this was just a normal out of inventory case or something more. Her answer was that Walmart will no longer be carrying any .22 ammo at all. I don't know it this is going to be the case nationwide. I haven't found another source nearby that offers that ammo at a price even close to Walmart's and not many that even carry it at all. Anyone have a lead for alternative sources with good prices?

Target Sports USA has pretty good prices on ammo and free shipping with a case purchase. Plus I don't have to wait a half and hour for them to find the keys to open the ammo case. SGAmmo is always worth looking at too and they have free shipping with orders of over $200.

I am 72 and get carded too but the worst is buying Sudafed. My local pharmacy rejects me sometimes because I bought a box not that long ago.
I like to have an extra box on hand but NOOO only a meth dealer would need that much.As far as being carded for age restrictions don't that it out on the clerk or retailer because its the government that is forcing this with draconian penalties to the retailer for even just one incident of selling to underage and because of this the retailers have set their point of sale software to require entering the date of birth as shown on the buyers drivers license/sate ID by the clerk to authorize the transaction.
