Some people are going to like it, some won't and some will be curious. No wrong answers.
If the Sig XL Comp didn't have gold accents, I would have picked one up as soon as I could have found one. Curious as to how the compensator impacts recovery and felt recoil. Heard good things that have kept my interest.

Always wanted a compensated pistol and while there's larger options, my on/off duty weapons of choice is the P365 family. Makes sense to add to the ecosystem in my pursuit of a compensated pistol. About a year ago, I'd be looking at the P320 line-up for a compensated model.

If a compensated compact pistol isn't your game, no fault in that choice. Just as there's no fault in those who are interested in that option.

I am curious, of those using custom slides with all of the open slots in them, how many of you concealed carry these pistols? If you do, how much debris gets in your pistol?
I would imagine that a can of dust-off next to the safe would do the trick. Much like dealing with dust around the base of the magazine or in the little pocket in Glock's grips.

I tried the canned air. Didnt work too good because the grit is in with the lube. If you run it real dry its not too bad but I keep mine fairly wet. In my job I was always under dozers, excavators, mud, ice, snow etc. Not being able to stop what I was doing if it got in such a condition led me to run them wet.
I can see why you keep things wet. The most common issue on my end is holster dust. Every now and then rain, but mostly dust. Maybe a small air compressor pushing a few hundred psi?

I like the FDEZ slide but to get a complete slide assembly (slide, guts and sights) you're looking at $650 plus shipping. While $500 in savings isn't something to laugh at, it's not too far from owning a complete pistol.

I like the FDEZ design a bit better than the AC but, still hoping Sig offers the slide assembly at a decent price or they offer a blingless version that's below $1000. Luckily, it's not something I have to hurry up and pick up.

Still want either the slide or Sig to release a version without the bling.
Doesn't have anything to do with anything beyond wanting to adding a compensated 365 version to my inventory.
I could see in being included in the rotation or possibly replacing the XL. Just depends how it compares after a little range time and how it performs shooting our qualification course.
