I just got my P230 back from Sig after I sent it in to them for repairs. It was not feeding and ejecting very well. They went thru the pistol and did the following repairs and the report they sent said the following:
Gunsmith Comments:
1) Inspected Pistol,
2) Pistol received with incorrect slide catch lever spring,
3) Install a slide catch lever spring,
4) Test fired two types of ball ammunition,
5) No malfunctions we encountered during testing,
6) The P230 was not designed to feed hollow point ammunition,
7) The P230 is a blowback operated pistol and as such can be recoil sensitive. A firm consistent grip is required for reliable performance.
This answers a lot of questions for me about the pistol, especially no. 6 I didn't know this.
