Looking to see if anyone has tried out the new Osight S, or the original, I am considering trying one out on my Fuse.

Thanks for asking the question Deadpool, didn't realize they had this type of optic out (fan of their lights), and you Para Pete for endorsing! Just ordered mine, now have to decide whether it's going on my 365 Legion (replacing the X Compact) or on my new DWX compact, that is awaiting an adapter plate.

Here's a bunch of rounds of mixed ammo I shot yesterday at the range to get more acquainted with the CZ and the Osight. I was using 115gr, 124gr, and 147gr FMJ and FMJFP ammo.

After a bit of sight-in fine tuning, I shot about half of the ammo at the 25 yard line (offhand, both eyes open), and the other half doing return carrier drills from 25 yards back to the 1 yard line.

I am extremely happy with both the gun and the sight...

Solid shootin Pete, especially off hand and in general! Mine was just delivered today. Haven't had a chance to mount yet but will in the morning and then hit the range in the afternoon. Pretty cool little device and as you mentioned in an earlier post, it's got a lot of functionality, including being enclosed, for the money.

Had my first range session with the new S-sight. Zero'd easily, solid field of view and good reticle acquisition. All and all, a good first session with no apparent movement of the sight (haven't used any "set" material on it yet; wanted to be able to switch to a different optic if it did not work out).

Thanks, it was my first range session with the DWX Compact after eyeing it for a long time. It did not disappoint, just my ability to shoot it as well as it's made to be shot. I inherited a slight tremor from my Dad and Grandpa that impacts my shooting and golf (putting) but manageable.

Definitely a great shooter, although did have 2 FTE in the last couple magazines fired that were 147gr. Presume it was related to those rounds so need to validate.

Interestingly, I had 2-3 failures to feed (not fully chambered) with 147gr FMJFP (but not the 124gr ammo I had) in my first outing with the CZ- which really surprised me.

I figured that the long 147gr bullets were the culprit in the FTF's...

So, I did some online research and learned what others had concluded from similar experiences they'd had with their P-09C's... I had noticed during that first range trip how difficult it was to load the mags due to extremely stiff magazine springs, as well as realizing that I must not have whacked every mag in my hand to seat the cartridges to the back of the magazines. At one point I noticed the top round (a FMJFP) pushed forward in the mag feed lips just prior to inserting it into the gun. That's when I realized that for some reason (distracted by the stiff mag springs, probably) that I must not have been back-seating every mag- which is my usual procedure.

Well, I learned online that several others had experienced the same issue with not-fully-seated ammo in the magazines. Additionally, I had noticed during shooting that my left thumb was sticking up and riding along the slide by the slide stop. And since I'm missing my left thumb (amputated over six years ago), that "thumb" sticking up was just the empty thumb of my glove. I dunno if it could have possibly been interfering in any way- but anything's possible, right?

So, for the second range session I left both mags fully loaded for four days prior (which made mag loading much easier), I made sure to whack the heck out of each mag in my palm before inserting it, and I tucked my glove's thumb down in-between my support and strong hand when firing. I also took 200+ rounds of mixed FMJ and FMJFP ammo in 115gr, 124gr, and 147gr from three different manufacturers in each type.

I had zero malfunctions during the second range session- alleviating my reliability concerns with the Nocturne...

Thanks @Para Pete ! Great information and appreciate you sharing what worked for you with the magazines. It came with two magazines and then I got a couple compatible base plates to convert some other C75 magazines I've had for use. I'll leave the new mags loaded and then see if the issue manifests in the older mags with the 147gr.

Interesting point on the thumb, definitely never know so identifying any potential factors is ideal. Really appreciate the time to share your experience!

I've spent a fair amount of time today in the "what CZ mags fit the P-09C Nocturne" rabbit hole. I've read CZ-75 Compact, P-07C, P-09C, and P-10C all fit, as well as the comparable full size "F" mags will work, too- just stick out a little.

But, I've also read that this is not actually the case. The P-09C mags will work- they just don't fit precisely into the new cut-outs in the bottom of the Nocturne's revised grip design.

Since P-09C Nocturne mags seem to be hen's teeth right now, I wish I had a source to try out all of these mags in my Nocturne to test them- but it's not like I can sit in the mag isle of the LGS opening up magazines to test fit them in my pistola...

I went through the same research process on what would fit the DWX Compact (having several other metal frame CZs). There is a good bit of presumptuous information out there (this will work but after inserting it rides too high so as to interfere with operation of the slide). I eventually found multiple sources that confirmed that removing the thicker base pad on P01 magazines and replacing with thin Hennings baseplates made specifically for the DWX Compact worked (since they are the company that make the plates for DW/CZ for the DWX Compact). Ordered 3 of them and thankfully they arrived before my first range visit. Replaced plates on the existing magazines and worked like a charm.

Regarding sitting in the magazine isle at the LGS and trying magazines. Can't hurt to ask them to try and see if it will fit, could help with them future sales if they are able to provide that wisdom to future customers.

Got mine in yesterday and was able to mount it up and try it out. So far I am very pleased with it, paced off 15 yards and zeroed it with a LBS, only needed a slightly right adjustment. Went out to the range and it was dead on at 15, circle dot is easy to pick up and reminds me of an EoTech. For the money I would definitely recommend checking them out, we will see how its long term usage is though since they are new.

I'm a big fan of Holosun red dots and I own quite a few of their 508T, 507k and EPS/EPS Carry red dots. I saw an article on the Osight X so I decided to check it out. I found one on LAPG and they had a 20% off coupon if you signed up for their propaganda. The final delivered cost came to $159 so I figured I would give it a shot.

I like that it comes with 4 different screw sizes and a recharging hood/cover. The build quality feels pretty robust and the window size is fairly large, bigger than my 508T and smaller than a 507Comp. The controls seem good and so far it's been working perfectly.

I was cleaning several handguns after a trip to the range and my wife and daughter returned from a grocery run. My daughter wasn't paying attention and slid several bags of groceries onto the counter... When she did the handgun with the Osight X got pushed off the counter and hit the tile floor directly on the top corner of the Osight X.

I picked it up and everything looked fine. No broken glass and the dot was working fine. I went to the range a few days later and it was still zeroed. It was far from a torture test, but I was pleased to see it could take a direct hit and still be fine. Time will tell if it continues to do well.

I haven't had a chance to check, but assume this product is similar to their flashlights, where it has a internal rechargeable battery that can't be replaced by the user. If so, I would be concerned with the longevity of the product. I mention this because of my personal experiences with the longevity of non serviceable rechargeable battery operated products. Maybe my product lifetime expectations are longer than what is expected by other consumers.

I have purchased many of their flashlights over the years and most of them have replaceable batteries. Granted many are proprietary batteries, but they sell replacements and would likely furnish one if yours failed.

Second this! I am amazed so far. Hold zero perfectly. lt well at 800+ rds so far, fits seamlessly on my P365. It's a VERY nice feeling, great buttons and a very unique charging system. I definitely am thinking of getting one for my wife and her Shield Plus. I LOVE it.

Absolutely LOVE it. Holds zero, fits like a glove on my P365, very clear lens and buttons are easy and tacticle. windage and vertical adjustment with included tool very simple to adjust and the charging "cap" or system is very unique and works very well via USB-C which you can charge even off of your phone, laptop, car etc.
