Ruger and Magpul. Collaboration. Looks similar to a glock but has a different grip angle and a removable FCU like Sig is doing, says Gen 3 compatible parts which im assuming means glock factory and aftermarket parts support, tritium sights. MSRP of $499.

I'd definitely be interested in one of these assuming it's reliable. The price is definitely appealing.

It's already here! Ruger is leveraging the current Glock After Market for parts -- especially optics since it's optics ready. Some of the features (extended mag release, extended slide release, extended take-down lever) may not require upgrades at all.
Looks like Ruger did the marketing research for this one!

A Legacy manufacturer partnering to create their own G19 G3 clone. Well that is weird for sure. Supposed future offerings will make use of this newish fire control group to offer more sizes. Well unless this pistol has some serious surprise under the covers - it just doesn't make sense to me.

 

How does it not make sense?
Rugers American is very unpopular compared to other brands. This gives you a removable FCU to use other grips that will come, including aluminum, none of which Glock offers. You get factory and aftermarket parts support from Glock pistols which is very broad, same holsters as Glock, you get Rugers fantastic service and warranty, tritium night sights, a flat trigger, gets rid of the glock grip angle which some hate, all for a starting price of $499. It could undercuts Glock in several ways. It also is offered in 10 rd capacity, and being Gen 3 basically, it can/should be available even in cali and other states.

Sounds smart move to me and is actually quite appealing.

This will make a great secondary option for carry and protection. Be great for first time buyers.

I wouldn't be surprised of Magpul put the 320 module lower on their priority list due to all the dadgum fudd going around about the spontaneous firing b.s.

Which makes me wonder if an Apex trigger kit will work in it. I dropped them a note, but I suspect they'll say they haven't tried it yet, so no. At any rate, my LGS has two on the way in and I intend to take a close look at it.

I am not sure what the delay is about. The accidental misfire thing has been in and out of the news ever since the 320 got released. I just think that Magpul was late to the 320 grip module party and decided to jump into an unsaturated market with the RXM. And WOW!

The majority of the ugly must be blamed on GLOCK- not Ruger.

But it is nice to see yet another company that's perfected a GLOCK... it's more ergonomic by deleting the inane hollow bulge from the bottom of the backstrap (solving the GLOCK grip angle issue), adding an FCU to make it more modular, and having it made and backed by an American firearms manufacturer- all wins!

If I was in the market for a GLOCK, this would probably be my first choice... that is- until GLOCK pulls their head out of their 🦌 long enough to give their customers the choice of having better grip options...

 

Grip angle is…different than a Glock 19. No hump. I think. I need to get one in my hand to tell.
