My local range doesn't let you use aluminum or steel. I asked why and was told that when its mixed with the brass it is to hard to resell or sort out as they sell their brass by the bulk. I asked if we clean up and keep it, woukd that be ok? Nope. That's the way it is. Another range cross town doesn't care.

 

Thats terrible. I would assume you pay $10 / half and up for range time. It drives me nuts that they would then tell you what ammo is good and bad.

I hope you take your business to the other range!

My 2 local ranges have never said a word - and I'm not about to ask!

 

I have shot the Perfecta ammo before and did not have any issues at all.

Im a big fan of the 100 rnd brown box Federal Target 9mm 115gr. FMJ for under $25.

 

Brown or white box? Haven't seen the brown and only the elusive white box every so often.

Perfecta & fiocchi 115 come in brass & copper colored heads.



Apart from aesthetics, is there an advantage of 1 over the other ?
I have shot a thousand rounds of fiocchi without a single failure in my p320,whose factory mags are incidentally, made in Italy!

 

I got some 9mm Perfecta for $9.78 a box a couple of weeks ago at a Southern California WalMart. The low cost is making it difficult to decide on getting into reloading. I have put around 1,500 rounds of it through my P229 without a problem.

 

.27 cents a round plus tax?

No thanks.

Unless you, for some reason, absolutely have to buy it locally, if you can't get it for .20 cents a round, plus shipping, you are paying way too much, wasting time, wasting wear and tear on the car, etc.

Perfecta 9mm Luger ammo 115gr FMJ

Until recently, I purposely avoided this ammo due to low cost and few reviews("Don't judge a book by its cover"). I finally decided to give it a try, since it was the only 9mm ammo left on the shelf [WalMart - $9.79]).

I bought a couple of boxes and what a surprise!! Shot very clean and very accurate, with absolutely no problems. I hope it is not a fluke, because it is now at the top of my favorite target rounds. If/when you see it -- Buy it!!

 

I have been using it for well over a year now. Walmart carried it for a long time then for some reason it ran out. I see they are stocking Perfecta ammo again. It's really clean and shoots good in all my Sigs.

Yup, great range ammo. Perfecta is a sub-brand of Fiocchi.

 

Kind of interesting, picked up some Perfecta .223 today from Wallyworld. Package on it says Tulammo. It's brass casing and FMJ. Our Mp 15 sport eats anything, we shoot a lot of the Tula steel casing. Good or decent accuracy for plinking and making things jump, crack or explode. At .02 more a shot I'll try the Perfecta, I mean that's only 60 cents more a mag, Lol.

 

Made in Italy by Fiocchi for Tulammo and sold at Walmart branded Perfecta. Why don't they just toss it in Fiocchi box and sell it to everyone.

 

Just ran across perfecta at a Wally that I don't normally visit. May have to swing back through and grab a few boxes.

 

Bought another 200 rds of 115gr Pefecta today.

I love the 230gr Perfecta for my P250C in 45acp. Eats it up!

 

I pick it (Perfecta) up whenever I see it at local WalMarts. They have it for under $10.00/box of 50, 9mm. Never had a problem.

 

Same here, Perfecta shoots very reliably in all my pistols and just as cheap as anything online. WM FTW!

I have used the Perfecta in my P320sc 9mm and it works great.

 

Also found that it shoots pretty clean compared to WWB and American Eagle. I'd buy it in bulk if I could find it.
