My Walmart got in 100 round boxes of 9MM WWB recently, so I also picked up 200 rounds. I want to see if my 9's will have any issues running it.

That price is the same as WWB and American Eagle at Walmart. Hope it runs well, and is another option in the constant search for reasonably priced ammo. I haven't tried the ZQI, but it is $20 a box. So, I haven't bought any.

They also had the Federal 100 packs of 9mm for a dollar more. I've found the Federal 100 packs of .45 to be pretty dirty to shoot, so stayed away from the 9's, assuming they would also be dirty. So far, good luck with the WWB's. Out of the last 5 boxes I have bought the round count was 101. So I guess if I buy 100 boxes, I'll get one free???

That stuff looks exactly like Fiocchi Shooting Dynamics, brass jacketed bullet and all.

I just bought a case of 115 gr Fiocchi from PSA and its been extremely accurate through my X-Fives.

EDIT: I just googled it and the Prefecta Line is, in fact, manufactured by Fiocchi.

I've run the Perfecta .40 and 9mm (50 rounds each caliber) through my Sigs with no issue. I'll definitely buy more if I get the chance. Happy shooting!

Went to Academy over the weekend and got 250 rounds of Monarch Brass at 12.99/50. Have not had any issues out of it.

Perfecta at WalMart

I had seen the Perfecta is various calibers a few months ago, but it vanished just as quickly as it arrived. At the time, 9mm was a bit more expensive than the Federal 115gr at WalMart, so passed on it. Today it was back. Bought some .380 to take to shoot with a friend this weekend, so no range notes (yet). Cost was $14.97 per box of 50, brass case, FMJ.

It looks like this is Fiocchi. I find it (similar label) on the Fiocchi UK website. When I looked for it the first time, it showed on TulammoUSA, but is not there now.

Someone mentioned ZQI 9mm. I bought one box of this some time ago at WalMart (50 rounds, brass, FMJ). And yes, at about $20. Found some specs that list it as 123 grains, with a CIP spec that was said to be just below +P. Have not fired it, as I found some American Eagle 124 grain. The 9 I have is a bit small to be putting +P through, so will leave the ZQI in the safe for now.

Have not bought / tried any other Perfecta or ZQI ammo.

Monarch handgun ammo seems ok, I used a few boxes of .357 HP brass with no problems.

I opened a box of .308 at the store. Rough and jagged edges on the brass. Even the manager was shamed by it, and took it off the shelf after finding several (not all) of the boxes like that. They have no quality control. Drew blood running a finger over the edge. No way I'm putting that in my rifle. It is to be said that the handgun and rifle ammo was manufactured in different countries.

After seeing Perfecta in our WalMart in .380, 9mm, .40, and .45, I picked up one box of .380 to try just for the heck of it since .380 is usually high priced and scarce. To my amazement, is was accurate and clean in both my P238, and Glock 42. It performed better than WWB and Remington, and was cleaner than both! I returned to the store and purchased several more boxes, and will be a regular buyer now for target shooting. I reload 380, 9mm, 40, 10mm, and 45 ACP, with 380 being my least bountiful brass so I'll let you know how the brass holds up as well.

I fired Perfecta made in Italy ammo before. I believe it's the same plant that makes Tul BrassMax ammo. 115gr FMJ practice ammo prices at Wal-Mart make me cringe. I see prices between $15 to $17 + local & state tax per 50rd box.

I've switched to Freedom Munitions commercial remanufactured 115gr FMJ for practice ammo. Every once in a while they run a $5 flat rate shipping fee. My last order of 500 rounds ended up $11.28 per 50 round box.

I've shot 100 rounds, no issues. I know it is a subjective observation, but the Freedom ammo fires cleaner than the usual off the shelf factory new least expensive 115gr 9mm practice ammo.

I recently found a few boxes of TulAmmo Brass Max in 5.56 at my local Walmart. It was 19.99 per 50. They also had the Steel Cased TulAmmo 5.56 in 20 round boxes for 4.99. Its hard to catch them with it in stock but when I do catch it Im going to buy all I can. I bought a box of Federal .40S&W that was about 20 bucks per 50. Wish I had gotten there early enough to have bought all the .40 they had as its still hard to find here where I live in North Central Alabama. Theres only a few stores within 100 miles that actually sell Ammo. You could probably count the places on your hands and toes. LOL

My P226 9mm and P229 .40 eat WWB just fine and I can usually find some at Wal-Mart. the .40 S&W is there more frequently though. I haven't tried the Freedom loads but it may be time.

I ran 100 rounds of the Perfecta 9mm through my P290RS a few weeks ago. Gun was brand new, cleaned and lubricated, but never fired. I had one fail to fire. I hit the primer twice and barely a dimple was made. I also had one fail to feed on the last round of my 8 round magazine.

I've since ran another 130 rounds of various ammo through the pistol and have not had the fail to fire since. Seems like good practice ammo, if you get it for less than other brands.
